Neat car nonetheless.

Actually the FT-1 will be the Supra replacement.

According to Toyota, this is VERY CLOSE to the production model. Rumor says the FT-1 will also be used as BMW Z8 platform.

So they ruined my ratrolla, and slapped on a big ass touch screen with the new lexus UI (the horrible one thats in all the NX/RX right now). They also got rid of the clock and the fancy L L L L's that were illuminated and engrained into the glass on the passenger side

A Lexus without the analog clock in it just seems so wrong

radeonboy 04-07-2023 09:28 AM

Much prefer the pre-facelift version as well - the facelift almost seems like a cost-cutting exercise. Also, that analog clock will be sorely missed :(

JDMDreams 04-07-2023 09:54 AM

A lot of Lexus don't have analogue clock, I can't name one that has analogue, it's all digital :considered: is, GS, Rx, ls, SC is all digital, why doesn't the lc have a cassette player :troll:

68style 04-07-2023 11:23 AM

IS has it… on the gauges… at least the proper years of IS does :)

Cassette player too!

twitchyzero 04-07-2023 04:02 PM

trackpad finally gone though
tach dial still moves mechanically?

Badhobz 04-07-2023 04:15 PM

But the new lexus user interface that they are carrying over is horrible. Its Laggy, its boring, and it cant even split screen. No thanks! This is likely my last lexus product. The brand is all about cost cutting now and the craftsmanship seems diminished with every new product

twitchyzero 04-07-2023 06:15 PM

carplay gets you like 3 widgets on one screen
it needs weather forecast and garage door opener though damnit!!!

What ?! How ? I don’t recall seeing widgets in car play

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I have never liked the old infotainment with the track pad / joy stick thing, the touch screen is welcomed by me even if slightly laggy. As for the cost cutting, I can't comment as I haven't been in any recently facelifted (2020+) Lexus products yet. My last test drive was a 2019 IS 350 AWD and I thought that car was beautifully made but I am also coming from an Acura so it seems like it should be a step up.

That "tablet glued to the dash" look everyone has now looks terrible, the old screen setup looks much fancier.

not widget in the sense you can adjust them but you can have map, music, calendar, music on one screen (double tap homescreen if you're on ios13 +)

Hey! I can apparently out run da po po... For like 30mins

Badhobz 11-21-2023 04:23 PM

This is a great review of my ratrolla.
2024 touch screen is bullshit though. Just looks tacked on and garbage compared to my old one.

Yea, old one looks way better

roastpuff 11-21-2023 05:31 PM

But no more stupid mouse, you win some you lose some.

JDMDreams 11-21-2023 06:45 PM

If only interest rates were cheaper, any reliability issues or gotchas? I'm starting to see 17 18 cars pop up, lease returns?

Badhobz 11-21-2023 08:47 PM

No issues at all. Even with the earlier ones. I’d recommend it if you look a pure GT car. Just don’t pretend it’s a 911. It’s more of a Bentley conti or an Aston vantage.

Gerbs 11-21-2023 10:25 PM

Damn, prices dropping to high 70s! MSRP was $110K?

Base ones were low-100s, performance pack was another $15k iirc. Used 2018s were hovering around mid-high 80s late 2019, so it's about time they're back to this price level if not lower.
