I really have mixed feelings about this if this is actually true, I have loved the series and the last movie was awesome but I think this is really pushing it. The way the last one ended was perfect and I think they should just leave it that way rather then being greedy and still trying to cash in.

IIRC, the movie was already in the works (with contracts signed) before Paul Walker passed away.
Correct. Fast 8 was already a done deal pretty much. They(producers) are looking to keep this money train chugging along for as long as possible. It could go well into double digits at this point.
pretty sure Vin Diesel said he was going to film it to # 10, as he's helping produce the movies. He said this when he accepted an award in the last few weeks (forget what the award show was called)

it's a massively successful franchise...it just blew up after 5 and the money kept rolling in for Universal.
I doubt it'll even end with Diesel leaving after #10
before we know it it's gonna overtake the Bond franchise in terms of sequels
Now the franchise is basically a full fledged action flick that happens to have cars as a minor focal point. A far cry from the first one. It's almost like Mission Impossible with a different rag-tag cast. The franchise will give way to older actors wanting a part role(ie: Kurt Russell) and also current popular actors (ie: Jason Statham) to be the villian. It's endless really. It "should" surpass Bond with ease.
As Vin has said many times. Fast 7 was FOR Paul, Fast 8 is FROM Paul. The concept of this one was mostly Paul's vision so it will be interesting to see.

I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~
