Looking for an Android phone with good camera Hi to all I would like to get a new Android phone with excellent camera with large aperture and perform well under low light condition in some fancy restaurants with out turning on flash. Budget is between $ 300 to 550. Please kindly advise. Vincent |
LG G4 Nexus 5X Nexus 6P Galaxy Note 5 Galaxy S6 - but only if you can live with really shitty battery life. |
thanks and may I know is LG G4 having a lot of problems lately ? Quote:

I have an S6, turned off facebook right away and it lasts a day with my use and 30% left over. Turned off the Samsung battery app too. |

OP, i'm not sure about the issues you speak of with the G4. just google around and make your own decision. |
LG G4 Best camera front and back. Removable battery/sim/sd card. OEM quick charger. FREE with contract (Bell). 0 issue. OEM Battery is fucking beast. Yep. |
If you want the Google updates and developer support, Nexus 5X. 32GB model for $500 taxes in is a great price. Otherwise, the LG G4. |
i have a g4, takes a bit getting used to the back and the curvy-ness but overall a good phone |

If you can get the N6P used for a good deal.. get it.. I have it and pics are amazing even at night... |
The camera on the 6p is amazing. Only thing I miss on it is ImageStabilizer |
G4 hands down Gear Review - A Photographers Take on the LG G4 i only wish my Z5 has OIS/RAW/full manual...oh well that's what a dedicated camera is for. |
I am a LG G4 owner, agreed to what the above have mentioned. except no unlocked bootloader yet, no finger senor, no wireless charging, cheap paint on the edge which means it will start chipping without a case. Other good camera choice is Asus Zenfone Zoom http://www.6gadgets.com/wp-content/u...us-ZenFone.jpg |
Unless you need the manual options that come with G4, Sony Z5 has the best camera/sensor combo in this gen of smartphones. |
widspread defective z5 cameras out there (left side blur)...I wouldn't recommend it if mobile photos is important. Luckily mine's OK. the near instant-AF is also hampered by slow software...takes seconds just to open up the app and so does reviewing photos. SCN (various night mode is needed for lowlight) is also not available at 23MP...only in 8MP oversampling mode. |
thanks for all your reply and I think I might be getting a LG G4 soon. |

I'm no camera expert but the Nexus 6P's camera has been really good in low light settings for me. Slightly out of your budget, but for the extra money the phone is much better than the LG G4 in many aspects. |
iirc it was note 5 > z5 > g4/v10 on the android front |
I find that Samsung cameras tend to review better but LG gets more reliable shots in the field. |
