Hit and Run - Look for 286 XVT Large Truck / SUV

Hi guys,

If anyone spots a large van/truck/suv with this plate please contact me or take pictures if any damage is spotted. Could be anywhere on bumper or hitch. Got lucky with a witness that gave us the plate, semi description and spotted an older asian driving.

They hit my gf's car at Chong Lee / Golden Oscars last night around 9:45 PM.

Witness said they heard a smash and saw it driving away. We've already made a police report and icbc claim, but they warned it may take time for the driver to respond to the icbc request for inspection - Hoping if someone spots it we can call the cops on them and take pics of damage.

Poor mini got sucker punched.

Please PM me if you have anything that could help,

Thanks and Happy Valentines Day!

Well its not really gonna be a "truck" with that license plate.

Probably a large SUV.

Hope it works out for you.

Am I crazy or does anyone else remember a dashcam video posted here a while ago of a hit and run in that same parking lot. Some old guy in a Rav4 I think?

ICBC will notify the registered owner by mail that they have 90 days to provide a statement (and possibly visit a repair station for pictures).

I was in a similar situation and when I asked ICBC why the 90 days they simply replied with "well sometimes people leave the country".

Dafuq.

Sucks to hear. Luckily someone was able to help you get info.

People should start investing into dash cams. There might not always be a convenient witness to help out.

Sounds like the person with the corolla above could have really used a dash cam...

Or with that damage, no truck could hit the car that low.
