Just speculating but the driver may be having someone else in his family claiming injury if they are unemployed/doesn't affect their work and cash in without raising any eyebrows.

& in the case of claiming injury, this is a big deal for his sister in law because it means she will not be able to pay off the damages on the minor fender bender and it must go through their insurance and increase their premium. Ask me how I know

Submit the video and have icbc run with the investigation. At no point in the vid you will see the seat belt strap for the passenger side. You will see it for the driver side though. Its not confirmed evidence but something worth noting.

My dad is dealing with a similar issue. While at a stop light, my dad accidentally let go of brakes and tapped the car in front. No damages at all. 2 years later, lady is now claiming injuries. Though I know injuries could show up after a certain time but 2 years? A lot of things could have caused her distress. Scums..

does icbc even entertain a claim of injuries 2 years later? i would think if it's not immediate or proof of constant dr visits, physio, etc during the 2 years they would tell the lady to fuck off.

You have 2 years to make an injury claim against an accident. Like someone said earlier, some injuries don't show up immediately.

What I'm confused about is didn't see look and see if there was a passenger when she got out to exchange info? Doesn't make sense at all why she didn't look for herself and now she's not sure. She should show ICBC the video and straight up tell them there was no passenger if she didn't see someone and then let ICBC decide who's telling the truth.

Last time I got into an accident, I took pictures of all vehicles involved, which includes plates, damages and a general picture of the vehicle, which is front+left side and rear+right side.

I always think they will try to claim more then what was done, so this would have in evidence that I can provide. It only takes a few mins to do, while info is being exchanged.

Better to have more then less, is what I always say.

If you rear end someone, your almost 100% fault.. what would she said done, say no its not and say the person in front of you was in your way?

Thanks Murdoc, this is exactly what we did actually. We told our adjuster straight up that there was no other passengers. As they exchanged info in front of the yaris and she has looked inside at the time of accident.

Video has been submitted, I guess now we will just have to wait for the results.
