Please don't get me wrong -- I am not sexist at all...
But WTF is this garbage? The Real Ghostbusters is about 4 nerdy guys + Slimer. This reboot is like shooting a Marilyn Monroe film, only to find out that Marilyn is cast as a dude.

This movie is getting a lot of hate but I thought the trailer looked good for what it is. Leslie Jones is fucking hilarious and is the only reason I need to at least watch it.
To be fair, it's not like the original Ghostbusters film wasn't campy. I think this is more inline with the original than people want to admit. As much as I hate it, I think it might actually be alright.
Looks alright. I don't mind the cast at all. The SNL chicks are all hilarious. Melissa, who I'm sure would be getting the biggest paycheck out of the 4 castings, is the least funny IMO.
Paul Feig has a history of having crappy trailers for his movies but they turn out pretty good. SPY and Bridesmaids are two recent examples. Leslie Jones is funny, I just hope they don't keep her to being the SNL character the screaming loud mouth for this movie but it looks like it.

Man, doesn't the support for a female James Bond highlight the issue of the female Ghostbusters?
Female James Bond is getting a lot of support and optimistic outlook. I'm a Bond fan and I wouldn't mind the change. There's been 26 Bond films and they've told a lot of stories. It's hard for that franchise to create something new they haven't done before.
Ghostbusters is a movie franchise not visited since 1989. It's only had two movies, with a dedicated fan following. Fans have been calling for a sequel for decades and want to see their beloved characters return. The backlash against the female recasting is completely understandable in this case. If they recasted with a new male cast and ignored all the past characters completely I'm sure the backlash would be the same.
I'm not opposed to seeing this movie, in fact I rather like Leslie Jones, and Kristen Wiig's older stuff used to be good. I just don't understand why everyone is screaming "sexist" when someone opposes this movie.
