| How do I make home windows opaque?
Cheap but efficient way possible?
Don't really care about heat retention/prevention

^ Similar to the above, rustoleum and krylon make a frosted glass spray finish.
Alternatively you could get a vinyl or static cling window film from like home depot if you wanted to spend a bit more.

I think there is etching cream you could use on glass as well.

Just installed this on some cabinet doors. Goes on just like tint - prep is key.

It was my understanding that opaque means no light comes through at all.
Do you want like a degree of translucency or straight up blacked out? Serious question, why not plastidip the windows? it's not permanent, peels off, and I'm pretty sure with enough coats it can be opaque.

I want no light or very reduced. Plastidip sounds doable but also could be a mess and costly as it is about 3 x 2 meters of windows. I could just tape up some cardboard but it looks like shit. Purpose is because the light wakes me up too early and also makes it hard to see stuff on my monitor.
Where can I buy like a roll of black vinyl or tint that they use for cars? Or any other suggestions?

seems legit. A product that is designed to address your specific requirements.
Doesn't look like shit from the outside, removable, blocks light.
