8/10. By the end of it, it's revealed that near everyone's an assassin. Like LITERALLY everyone, no hyperbole. Doesn't spoil anything really when everyone's an assassin.

7/10 few of us went to see it last night.
I'm legit starting to think either people's tastes have gone down, and that our expectations out of movies due to the volume nowadays has made people palatable to mediocre movies.
I heard so many people giving this film a 9/10 saying it's the best action flick in years, come on.
This movie is so different from the first movie, it shocked me.
The first movie seemed like a more legit revenge film, more dark, and based in reality. This movie was almost comical at times with the amount of action. People were laughing in the theater at how corny that silencer scene between Cassian and Wick in that train station, we all had to shake our heads.
So basically everyone in New York/Rome as assassins? I think that was a major flaw that really took away from the film. I thought this "Illuminati" was an exclusive group, the first movie made that quite clear, this second film seemed to throw that idea right out the window. Bum assassins, a bum assassin king in Morpheus? LOL
This film was a disappointment, well filmed with great action scenes though, but this one doesn't hold a torch to the first one.

John Wick's universe is an odd one. It looks like ours, but it's not. I liked that there was a lot of stuff implied, but not explained. The assassin switchboard and their mixed retro technology was interesting.

I watched a movie in Dbox once, that was enough to know I'll never watch another movie in Dbox.
