My Dad bought one new in 79 and we drove it everywhere. Had that big 6.6 liter engine. Many years later was depressed to find out it had about the same house power as my Civic with a 1.8 liter engine.

Yup, it's a legit car, not an April Fool's Day prank.

Built by Trans Am Depot and puts out 840hp.

And that is why they did it. There is a lot of disposable income out there, and folks who are on the nostalgia kick. I would love to have modern day Trans Am, just to say I have one. Let alone the 840hp.

I liked these when I thought it was only the TA. But that Judge is a really cool car. I had the same model kit as you growing up. That car was an icon in it's own way.

But it's such a limited run, barely anyone is actually going to be able to get one.... They could have just made them 'special edition' for a year and sell thousands of them

i'm not sure there are many in this market who can afford to buy a brand new 2017 and do that to it... either you've had your old one for awhile, or you bought used and spent what is left to do this.
