Bought the new Samsung A9 Pro, not bad
 

If i remember the spec correctly, it is a Snapdragon 652, 4gb ram, 32gb rom, 6inch 1080p AMOLED, 16MP camera, massive 5000mah battery that weight 210g.

Bought this to replace my wife Sony T2 Ultra, it is quite expensive compare to chinese phone with similar CPU, but we like the battery life, real dual sim (rather than share with SD card slot). Amazing thing about this phone is it doesnt come with nasty bloatware, there are some Chinese apps but all are removable.

T2 ultra lasts about 1.5days, and A9 Pro lasts a full 2 days with 4G / BT / 50% brightness / whatsapp and normal browsing.

what's the thickness? Not that it's too important to me.

I don't think i've seen phones with > 4k mAh

The Snapdragon 652 is a very nice processor. I know the 650 in the Redmi Note 3 Pro benches higher than the 808/810 except for gaming.

How much was it?

around $600cdn. Thickness is 7.9mm, a bit thicker than A9.
The screen is weird 2.5D, can't find a proper screen protector.

If you are looking for large screen, good battery, decent build phone, this could be pricey. I guess this phone can last at least 3-4 years with this kind of spec.

What do you think about the Xiaomi Mi Max? Similar specs (6.4", SD652, 3GB RAM, 64GB, 4850mAh) but $350 CAD.

If you want another toy, go get one.

I always want a flagship in my pocket...then a cheap fun phone to play around, flash new roms, test new apps etc. I just bought a Redmi Note 2 last year, so will pass this one.

I ordered their air purifier, TV box, fitness watch, home camera, it's pretty cool to control everything with your phone.
