Yeah, something like that. I think they had an aftermarket fender prepared, but I'm supposed to get an oem fender as per my insurance that I have. Whomever they're getting the oem fender from won't air delivery it, so it's will take a week for ground delivery.

I don't know who's fault it is, but at this point, I'm just hoping everything gets fixed flawlessly without any issues the first time around, and the 1+ month wait will then be worth it.

I'll report once my car's fixed, but OP most likely would have chosen a shop by then. Although last week when I talked to Fastrack, they said their current wait time is all the way until mid June.

my uncle recommends fast track as well, but it was years ago when they fixed his car. it still looks good. i didn't know it had a big accident until he told me.

If window is the only damage, it might be cheaper to find glass at a junkyard and diy install.

Richcity gets my recommendation. My fit got rear ended 6 years ago. Car is pulled, new hatch new, rear bumper. They even sourced my custom CF diffuser, and my japan aftermarket tail lights. Great paintjob on the taffeta white. No shade difference or blotchiness from OEM paint. No runs or hairline cracks anywhere. Hatch was installed properly with no squeaking noises developed after 6 years.

Shit happens for sure, but its so common in the body shop world to have such half assed organization.
this is a very one sided view, to assume it's all about organization. you have to understand how inconsistent it is in the industry, and how many factors are outside of a body shop's control. it's definitely outside of dealerships "uncontrollables". so much of insurance work is subletted out, so it's up to the subletters, the dealerships for parts, special order items, insurance delays.. list goes on
