I was looking to replace a stone that belonged to my father. It was awesome, but is now worn down to almost nothing through decades of use.

Yup, I'm a Milwaukee fanboi...............

I knew it was a matter of time before they came out with a rolling tool organization system. I was going to get a Dewalt a few years ago, but decided to wait.......... and wait.........and wait.

Now all I need is to wait for Milwaukee to come out with a cordless rivet tool. Then I can die and go to tool heaven, lol.

Got me a Milwaukee Packout set today (Monday). Man, it is awesome. It is/was on sale at Home Depot for $298.00. One of those one time buy things. I waited till the 18 month no interest promo started this week. I went on Sunday to get one at the Burnaby, Henning Drive location. All sold out, but their inventory shows they had 7. Terminal location had 4, and North Surrey had 8. All other locations were a no go. I tried all locations from Vancouver to White Rock and Abbotsford. All of them were out of stock, even though some showed stock. A lady at the Henning Drive service counter says they have to be in the store somewhere. She said they would put an APB on them and call me when they find it. Meanwhile, I decide to call the Chilliwack location. Sure enough, they have three. I had one put on hold and told the people at the Henning Drive location to call me as soon as they find it. They never called me back, so I drove out to Chilliwack to get one. I also found other Black Friday items that were sold out at the other locations, so it was worth the trip. One hour after I get back from Chilliwack, I get a call from the Henning Drive location that they found the missing pallet.............. If anyone is looking to get a set, they still have two or three sets at the Henning Drive location.

BTW, the Chilliwack Home Depot is one of the nicer Home Depots I've been to. Cheerful, laid back staff AND, they all spoke english I could actually understand.

Milwaukee's latest tool line up............ long awaited chainsaw! No fucking fumes, pull cords, noise, etc. Cordless makes way more sense.

12 amp hour battery, new motors, and a table saw. 6:42, 8:53, my god. Finally something that sucks more than the VanHoover Canucks @ 10:00. 13:05 - gotta get me one of those when they come out. Problem with Milwaukee stuff is the time it takes to get your hands on the new stuff. The cordless rivet gun for example. It's been out in the US for a while now and it was supposed to be in Canada on April 1st (yeah, I know). Guess what? Still not available. At least not easy to find one. Almost as bad as Elon Muskrat's products.

Wow, a cordless chainsaw, that's awesome. I have a pair of Milwaukee impact guns (3/8 & 1/2) and have been super impressed with them, definitely worth every penny!

What would be good is Milwaukee can fix their lawn equipment line up
I want more lawn stuff that can say work with power tools. Then I would invest heavily into that line up.

Lawn equipment......... Honda, Shindaiwa, Toro, Stihl, etc. Not Milwaukee. Milwaukee should not get into shit they have no business being in. Unless you're just a homeowner that does a little gardening and lawn maintenance here and there. I'm a Milwaukee fanboi and I don't even want to go the Milwaukee route on lawn maintenance.

Wait.......... I have no lawn. I went the rock route. Anyone want to buy a Honda lawn mower? Gulolol. I used to have an immaculate lawn that the Italian neighbours envied (no small task). Then the crows came along, then the fucking racoons........... I gave up. Got rid of the lawn altogether. Never been happier. No fertilizing, demossing, lime treatments, watering, mowing, etc.

Did you buy anything?

Scissors are scissors are scissors, but if you want the best of the best for the workshop, the Olfa scissors are the nicest out there. They are pricey, but worth their weight in gold. They go on sale at KMS Tools every now and then. Also available on Amazon. Read the reviews on amazon.ca.

Another Milwaukee tool. Cordless M12 soldering iron.

I have a Weller Pyro Pen I use for everything auto related and a Hakko soldering station for everything else. Anyway, check this out. I really like the LED feature (both status indicator and work light).

This is now the Milwaukee Fanboi thread, gulolol.

I simply love this tool. Reversing feature? Wow.

Who the hell would cut a crescent wrench in two?

The 2019 Milwaukee tool line up

The thing I like about Milwaukee is they are always developing really useful tools. I love my Packout storage. So much so, I have two of them. I can't wait for the dolly attachment to show up. The work light I have when I work late at night is kind of embarrassing because it is so bright, it lights up the whole fricken neighbourhood. Anyway..................

Does anyknow any alternative to the real one? Something cheaper but still sturdy enough in real usage?

I was at Summit Tools earlier this week and saw the Milwaukee cordless soldering tool behind the display case. For $99.00, it's a pretty good deal. Of course, I haggled for a slightly lower price. Hardly any mark up on those things. Anyway, I just tried it on a few LED's I had to solder onto a circuit board. Man, it's so easy to use. No stupid butane to worry about. I do miss the phaser overload sound of the old Pyropen at startup, but this puppy starts up pretty quickly. It comes with a pencil tip as well as, a chisel tip. I can put it down and not worry about burning the surface. It's pretty stable when you stand it on end. Even when positioned at any of the three angle settings. It's going to shine when I use it outdoors. No worry about flame going out like the butane soldering tool. Lose the cord, and now the butane!

Still, for serious work, you can't beat a soldering station with its temperature settings. I love my Hakko. Not going to take it outside, though.

Whenever I want to wash the car with hot water, I have to go into the laundry room and fill up a 5 gallon pail and drag it out the the back of the house. Not any more............. check this out.

Hot water at campsite, cabin, wherever. Powered by propane and ignition provided by 2 D cell batteries. It's totally portable. And, it's affordable. The technology has been around for quite some time, but I just saw the video. Great idea!

A couple of youtube videos of a similar item.

For you guys who tow trailers and such, I got me some of this to make life a little easier. It's not technically a cotter pin, but whatever........

I already had this thing tucked away and found it by accident years later. I sort of remember buying it at a Cabelas. It must have been the location in Tulalip, because there was no Cabelas here in Canada at the time. Anyway, it's one of those weird but wonderful and useful items. I searched high and low for the pin clip and found it a Cabelas Canadian website. However, they are all sold out.

I happened to find it on Home Hardware's website.

https://www.homehardware.ca/en/rubbe...clip/p/8730066

Cabelas Canada has them, but sold out at the Abbotsford location and they're not getting anymore. Nanaimo has some, but it's like the other side of the planet, lol.

https://www.cabelas.ca/product/10782...ler-hitch-clip

I use these on the locking arms on the loading ramp of my aluminum utility trailer. The old ones rusted to the point I had to basically cut them off.

I've had this thing for a couple of months. Used it a few times to put some projects together. Let me tell you, I used to have a pneumatic one and it was good. With this thing, there's no cords to worry about. And, it is fast. Just place the rivets into the holes and let it do its thing one after the other as fast as you can place the nozzle onto that next rivet.

Another, why the hell would anybody need this tool, example.

I've used this tool at work many times and let me tell you, it is amazing. I wouldn't go out and buy one, because it is expensive as hell. Anyhow, long story short. The tool was broken due to another person's carelessness. It got thrown out. I was like, WTF? It isn't cheap. So, I sort of went dumpster diving to retrieve it. Turns out it was totally fixable. All I needed was a small part. I ordered the part from Hakko USA. It took forever to arrive, but it works like a charm now. The thing was thrown out still in its case and all the accessories and whatnot.

https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/d...ers,%20Handles

This thing sucks. It really does what it is designed to do. A perfect match for my Hakko FX-88D. Now, I just need to fix all the stuff I said I would.

This thing is amazing. Does not power high amperage items or anything that produces heat, but it really shines when it is used to power up and charge small electronics. Perfect for camping.

This review is just so funny............. why the hell would you try some of this?

Oh, you can get this puppy at Home Depot (sold out for now) BC Fasteners, or........ KMS Tools for $129.00. MSRP is $139.00, I believe. I'll be going down today to pick one up. Just because.
