I've purchased Wera products from these folks before. With borders shut down, having the stuff shipped to Blaine for pickup is no longer an option. Shipping stuff here is just not worth it. In any case, KMS carries Wera products, so when I'm there today, gonna see if they have it, or at least bring it in. KMS didn't carry that much Wera stuff back in the day, but have really started expanding their stock in recent years. So glad they did.

Well, I went to KMS and bought me a metric 11 piece Wera Joker set. MSRP is like $349.99. No way I'm going to pay that kind of money for it. I asked the counter person if they ever go on sale. While he was looking up the item on his computer, I quickly did a google search and found out that IHL back east has the set on sale for $239.00. Turns out the set is also on sale at KMS Tools for the same price. Somebody didn't put up the sale price on the hanger. Anyway, check out the review. Worth every penny, IMHO. Especially at the sale price.

Couldn't find a good review of the Wera Koloss. Starts at 7:00. It is one hefty ratchet with a fricken hammer built in. And yes, I have the Koloss. Don't think I'll ever need the centering pin attachment.

Not really a tool, but different types of drill bits for different uses.


My favourite bit is the countersink bit. I purchased a Viking/Norseman (Made in USA) countersink bit and it is amazing. I've used all kinds of countersinks, but the Viking is, by far, the best I've used.

I have this walnut tree in the garden. It popped out of the ground about five and a half years ago. No idea where it came from. Probably squirrel or bird dropped the seed/nut onto the ground and it took hold. Anyway in that little time, the walnut tree grew to over 30 feet tall and 20 to 25 feet wide. It got so big, the plants in my garden wasn't getting any sun or rain. I had to cut the branches back. I used my Milwaukee Sawzall to do the job. Damn, it took my sons and I quite some time to cut of the branches. After it was all said and done, I was stuck with all these branches. I wasn't looking forward to cutting them up to smaller pieces. I decided to get me a Milwaukee M12 Hatchet. It's a mini chainsaw. Damn, it's the perfect tool for this type of job. The only thing I'm not happy about is how difficult it is to start the thing (switch and lock button location). It's also a bit messy (oil), but I can live with that. Adjusting the chain tension, which is crucial, is simple to do.

Had this brake fluid change kit for a while and couldn't wait to try it. It requires air pressure that can be provided from a plain tire. Hook it up to a spare tire. I flushed all four corners and lost maybe a tiny fraction of the tire pressure. The air used basically pushes the fluid through, so no significant loss of tire pressure. I got the complete set for the cost of two, maybe three, visits to a garage to have it done. Edit: I purchased the kit that doesn't have the Chrysler adapter, 'cause I'd rather have no car than a Mopar (just kidding - just a play on words from "Mopar or no car," lol).

Was at Bed Bath & Beyond last week. Had this spend $60 get $15 off.coupon. I purchased some much needed towels, but was a few bucks short. I looked around in the kitchen gadgets aisle and found this thing called a jarkey.

Anyway, this thing works like a charm. Opening jars is now so easy. No fighting with the lids and losing. Tapping on the side of the lid to "jar" it loose always works, but this thing is much easier.


Made in Denmark, or something. If you have or know someone who has arthritis, this is a godsend. One of those, "How the fuck did I ever survive without one," gadget.

Some Milwaukee Tire Inflator customers complain about the inflator not having a 12 volt power plug. I have no issue with it, but there's this thing.


The newer version is the one to get. I love the fact the chargers have a battery meter. I carry this thing in my Waterfly when out on long walks. Charges my phone in pretty decent time.

The larger M18 top off power supply/charger is simply amazing. 110 volt on the go.

I was at that shop that sells overpriced yuppy stuff (Lee Valley) where they had this special buy on a 3 in 1 LED light. I was impressed by the thing, but they were all sold out. I was a little bummed out. Anyway, on one of my Costco browsing trips, I found this.........


Same thing as the Lee Valley, but better. The thing with the Lee Valley version, is it comes with three batteries. Later, I found out the batteries on the Lee Valley ones are rated considerably lower.

Anyway, the Chameleon 3 in 1 led light is sold at Costco for a good price. Regularly stocked. The magnet on the base is very strong. Perfect for hood of car.

Using this shitty tool is a bit of a mess at times, because what's left in the system stays there. Starts coming out at the worst of times. There has to be better, right? Yup............ FOUND IT!!!!

I never thought about it, but the 3/4 inch OD hose is just right for the Honda Ridgeline. If I had purchased the 1 inch, I would have had to return it. I was also concerned about the bad reviews, but most of it was from people who couldn't rub two sticks to get a fire. I just laughed at those reviews.

Anyway, this simple tool actually works. I had to cut the tubing a bit (okay, a lot) for my use. I just hike up the jerry can onto the hard tonneau cover and give the glass ball end a few strokes like you're jerking off and voila (or what some amuricans would say, "walla") it works like a charm. The little that is left behind in the hose can easily be poured out at the other end. And talk about fast. Damn! All that time I struggled with that piece of shit, Flo and Glow system...........

One more review on an awesome tool. Simple but effective.

I dread changing engine coolant. I wish there was a better way. Coolant splashing all over the place. Well, that part can't be helped. It is what it is. I wish they had a Fumoto Valve for the radiator. Wait, is there one?

Anyway, burping the system after filling up the radiator is the part I hate. This item by Lisle is a game changer.

It's one of those, why didn't I think of that? The beauty with this kit is, all the attachments it comes with. All Hondas, as far as I know, use the same radiator cap. All the other parts are not needed if all you have is a Honda. I do have Mitsubishi cars. Haven't checked any of them since they're good for a few more years.

Just wanted to say I love my Wera screwdrivers. Grips screws like nobody's business. Philips screws are just one step above slotted ones.......... okay, not true. There's nothing more frustrating than working with slotted screws. I prefer good ol' Canadian products like the Robertson (square) screws and fasteners. Anyhow, the Wera screwdrivers, even the slotted ones come with patented heads that are designed to grip fasteners. I had to work up high with taking off a worn out philips head, screw. Used the Wera and it was a snap. One handed operation screwing a replacement back on.
