I'm sure some people will keep them for novelty and collectibility. But how useful it would be if it never gets a software update?
Im a little choked I was hoping to pick one up for cheap once they sorted it out. I wasn't very impressed with pixel xl but I guess it's the only decent new phone. Great opportunity for Google to take advantage of

Isn't Samsung sending out an update that locks the note7s or throws up a disclaimer every time u try to use it? Can't see why ppl would want to stick with a phone that's hampered like that merely for Collectiveness

Wind is apprently going to take back all Note 7s regardless if it's originally from Wind or a Samsung replacement for $1099.
I think other carriers will follow.

Motherfuck. Same boat here. I'm on a replacement Note 7 and 2 days later they decide to kill it off completely. Been with Samsung since the original Galaxy S man ... either Edge or iPhone for me now.

so my friend,
when he got Note 7, he got $200 off trading in some unusable crap phone, plus free watch for pre-ordering.
He's going to exchange for S7 Edge($850 at Samsung store), and they are going to honor $200 trade credit + $100 sorry we fked up credit.
$652 tax in, and keeps the watch.
He is pretty happy with how it turned out.
