Note 7

I'd like to hear reasons on why anyone would choose the Note7 over an Iphone.

Why would anyone want to touch that phone with the recent recall debacle? It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Samsung fast tracked the phone to beat the Iphone release date which resulted in the poor quality control on their batteries.

Every manufacturer has gone through some recall bullshit at some point, at least they've owned up to it and are doing something about it.

Samsung is innovating, what has Apple done lately that hasn't just been a ripoff of something already done, or a new way to make money off proprietary cables.

Anyways, back to the iPhone, anyone who's thinking of getting the jet black Apple confirmed it scratches easily.

For starters the battery issue has been resolved so it not a issue.
Then there is this article.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus: 10 reasons to pick the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead | ZDNet

High lights here:

Here are 10 reasons to consider the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 instead of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

Fast charging: I still cannot believe Apple hasn't developed the technology to charge up the iPhone at a fast rate. Most new Android phones, even those in the $400 range, have the ability to charge up in a short period of time.

Display:
The iPhone display resolution (1920x1080) has always been less than the high-end Samsung phones, but it still looks great, and I have no real complaints. However, the Note 7 currently has the best smartphone display, and it doesn't look like the new iPhone will match it. You also get a better screen to phone ratio with the Note 7, and it's tough to beat the experience of having sides with no screen bezel.

S Pen: Samsung continues to improve the S Pen experience. It's awesome to write directly on the display with the screen powered down when you have a quick thought, and I'm using the S Pen more than ever.

Water resistance: We finally see Apple adopting some things that set Samsung apart, and with the iPhone 7 Plus, it adds IP67 water resistance. However, with an IP68 rating, the Note 7 beats the iPhone with the ability for extended immersion in deeper water.

Wireless charging:
Samsung not only includes wireless charging, but the Note 7 includes fast wireless charging technology that speeds up charging by a reported 30 percent. Wireless charging isn't essential, but it's tough to beat the convenience of just setting your phone down without fumbling for cables.

Headphone jack: Apple called its strategy to remove the headphone jack courageous, but that's a bold statement for cutting out a universal accessory port. Millions have spent a lot of money on high-end headphones with 3.5mm cables and want to continue using them. Wireless headphones have to be charged and still don't offer the volume and clarity of wired headphones. You will get an adapter in the box, but you can't charge up your iPhone and use your headphones at the same time.

MicroSD expansion card: It's great to see Apple continue to increase the available internal storage options on the iPhone models and do away with the lame 16GB entry level. However, increasing the internal storage beyond the lowest-priced model comes at a high price. The Note 7 is offered with an ample 64GB of internal storage -- with the capability to easily expand the storage capability via inexpensive microSD cards.

Virtual reality: Samsung's Gear VR headset provides an enjoyable virtual reality experience for just $99. We've seen continued development of new providers offering content, and you can easily spend hours enjoying the virtual world with a Note 7 and a Gear VR headset.

Samsung Pay: Apple Pay is a great wireless payment system that continues to see new financial institutions added regularly, but Samsung Pay works in almost every location where a magnetic strip reader is used.

Gorgeous design: This last reason is highly subjective, but I absolutely love what Samsung has done with these new Galaxy Note 7 phones with the metal edges, dual-curved edge screens, glass back, and glass front. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus is a nice piece of hardware as well, but it's a big phone, and I'm not sure I want something bigger than the Note 7 in my pocket. iPhone owners also tend to wrap their phones in a case, making the package even bigger.

Its your money if you want to buy a behind the time product go buy your Iphone.

not really. just don't like pointless ignorant comments. i dont have a bias towards either phone actually. i was thinking of getting an iphone 7 but the fact that the screen resolution still hasn't been bumped and theres no fast charge really bothers me. i'm probably going to get a note 7 for now and get the iphone next year because theres rumors floating around that its getting an OLED screen.

...because it's a better phone in every way? (except the exploding batteries, yes, yes.)

As a Korean, I probably come across articles of Samsung's shitty practices far more than you, but I don't even know what you mean by "get what it deserves".

It looks like Apple got "what it deserved" when it was ordered to pay 14.5 billion dollars in back-taxes by the EC - and that's tax evaded in the EU alone.

...and seriously, from a purely objective standpoint, what about the iphone7 makes it better than the rest?

These Note 7 v iPhone 7 discussions are super cool stories, but lets stick to relevant information like pre-order procedures, delivery times, features people are looking forward to etc.

We can go back or forth all day about which phone is better but it's all subjective these days. Phones are more than capable of delivery all our needs, it all goes down to which experience you prefer.

Well, to be fair. It isnt' a feature thats on all phones these days, and one that the iphone hasn't had well ever. It was actually one of the reasons why I didn't keep the IP6+ and went back to nexus 6, once you go stereo... its really hard to go back.

For the average person, phone's have all come to a point where they are ridiculously fast, incredibly thin and screens sharp enough. Cameras in them have also come a long way.

Whoever has the best battery life and expandable storage these days is the winner IMO

many Android devices can't be beat for value but they're just more prone to crapping out sooner than iPhones in my honest opinion. iPhones also hold a retardly-good value despite Apple's planned obsolescence

This is so true.
CD sounds so much better than MP3.
I was listening to Sony Diskman the other day and HOLY SHIT it sounded so much better than any MP3 player out on the market.

I did a quick research and CDs have the sound quality of 1141.2kbps and MP3 has 128kbps.
They have MP3 320 now, which is 320kbps and supposed to sound close to CD to human ears, but still, not even close to CD on paper.

Apparently, Panasonic Shockwave was one of the very popular CD player in 1990s so I'm curious to hear what it sounds like.

I have a 5s, will upgrade to the 7 when it becomes available through my work's discount program with Telus. Hopefully next month.

Not really an Apple fan, but the fiance is and I hate paying for apps twice.

They've had 320 kbps MP3s for well over a decade.

I still have my old shockwave, but it only has like 3 seconds of anti-skip memory or something like that. It did sound good there were other ones that sounded better, just have no clue what they were called.
