You think the newer generation of each phone is the "one to have" every time? Well I guess that makes sense...it is supposed to be the better phone since it comes out a year later.
No. I generally prefer the "s" to the redesign release.

The "S" IS the redesign...just an updated version of it.
If you were getting your phones for free, no charge to you; you'd pass on getting the 6 and prefer to keep your 5s? But be down to purchase the 6s when it comes out even though it's the exact same phone as the 6 but updated? Hmm...
The one good thing about the S is that by then, any hardware issues such as your phone bending or "you're holding it wrong" antenna issues have been resolved.
Much like a car, some love the first model year cause they like being the first to have it, and others like the last model year cause the kinks are worked out.
so i get an email saying my reservation has been cancelled.. no.. wtf..
login to my account, check my number for reservation, yeap, it's gone.
get a follow up email shortly after, saying my reservation was cancelled because i did not use the proper reservation service..
it redirects me to "rogers direct"
have to create a new account with my info and account #.. do a different reservation and drop from #289 to #433..
phone rogers, explain my situation and say i not only spoke to a rep who told me to use the reservation system through my Rogers, but also got a text message saying reserve your iphone 7 and a link to a splash page which did not refer you to "rogers direct" but to the iphone 7 page, which eventually led to the exact same reservation system i used to reserve my device..
after explaining this sitation clearly to the CSR i was waived my $40 reservation fee, as well as credited another $50 to my account.. however.. writing this out i feel like that isnt even enough reimbursement.. their system was completely in the wrong and my reservation gets cancelled after being referrred into that system? fuckk.. pissed off..

I am SO confused.
You pre-ordered on Roger's site but didn't use their "Rogers Direct" service? What a load of shit.
Also, I wouldn't really call the $40 a "fee." They credited you $50 but the $40 doesn't make much sense. The $40 gets put towards the actual purchasing of the phone so it's really just a deposit.
Initial quantities of the iPhone 7 Plus have sold out globally as Apple Inc prepares to roll out its new gadget in stores, the company said Wednesday.
Supplies of the larger size of Apple's new phone have been exhausted in all shades, and the smaller iPhone 7 has also sold out in the new jet black color, the company said.
Customers who enter Apple Stores Friday, when the gadgets hit shelves, will not be able to purchase the sold-out phones on site, but they can continue to place orders for their desired models online, Apple said.
"We sincerely appreciate our customers' patience as we work hard to get the new iPhone into the hands of everyone who wants one as quickly as possible," Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said in a statement.
Apple launched the new phones at a San Francisco event earlier this month. The gadgets feature improved cameras and eliminate the traditional headphone jack in favor of new technology.
Breaking with tradition, the company will not release first-weekend sales of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, saying the figure is more a reflection of supply than demand.
The decision sparked concerns among some on Wall Street, where many fear sales of the iPhone, a critical product for Apple, may be leveling off. But U.S. wireless carriers Sprint Corp (S.N) and T-Mobile US Inc (TMUS.O) said on Tuesday they received strong pre-orders for the iPhone 7, sending Apple shares up.
From what I've got access to, if they don't have stock now, they may not get that model till the next week's Apple delivery. Past that, 4 to 6 weeks depending on Apple. The most common model the stores had stock of was the 7 black 128 GB.
Don't know why they have such low supply for the phone? Possibly just to get it out there that the phone is so high in demand....but to me doesn't make sense because the more phone out the more sales with such short supply they can't get the phone out fast enough!

It doesn't make sense to do that considering the current atmosphere in the mobile market. This was a chance to grasp any lingering our doubtful Note 7 users. Put an iPhone 7 in the hands of someone who had bought a recalled Note 7 or planned on purchasing a Note 7, and you just acquired a new customer from your #1 competitor. And these 2 companies pay very close attention to what the other is doing.
