I for one can't afford to be shelling out that much cash upfront for an iPhone but if I can't get it on a contract with a cheap plan it's best of both worlds! The hard part is trying to find a plan that is good and cheap...

Ok need some advice from you Apple fans

Was planning on getting the gf a 7+ for her birthday. I hope they'll have sufficient stock come mid November.. Had a fucking terrible time getting a gold 5S in November when it came out.

Her 5s has been great and doesn't show signs of giving up.

Is the 7 as big of an overall upgrade to the 6S as the 6 was to the 5S?

Or should I wait until next year for the 7S?

Next years will be the iphone8 but I get what your saying...if she doesn't care for having a headphone jack or abit better camera and battery life then get her the 6s plus. I got the wife the 6s plus since she wants to have a headphone jack and doesn't want to carry the dongle around. She also went from and iPhone 6 to 6s plus. I think it would be a justifiable upgrade for your gf but will she be able to handle the size? "That's what he said!" Lol

I highly doubt they will come out with an S model.. they already have 2 models... Wouldn't make sense for them to make a 3rd or 4th unless they really want to milk people..

^if the iphone 8 will be the big big uprade then I hope it will be full on wireless and by this I mean wireless charging. Not what people are thinking how you put the phone flat on a disk that charges the phone. I am talking wifi charging that is full on wireless when you are in a rook that has wifi and it charges the phone when you are linked to it. Also hoping different style design and better features...

Yeah rumours are it will have long range wireless charging, your phone will basically charge anywhere within your home. Glass body is also a rumour but I think that is a stretch and I'm not too keen on that. Also touch ID will be built into the entire phone...

With all the rumors it's pretty much a given that it'll be a disappointment. Apple can't release more than one big hardware feature a year, not when you can delay it to sell next years version.

In the past hasn't Apple usually dropped the price of the previous model when the next iphone debuts? Been checking the apple Canada website and the price for th 6/6+ haven't changed :/

yah apple has the tech for wifi charging which is pretty cool no that is wireless lol...I think some other company has tested it out but it is super slow. I think it charges 1 percent every hour or something messed up like that. But in all seriousness if apple only does one major thing a year with their phones I hope it is wiresless charging. What was the one major feature with the iphone7 this year? dual lens camera? I mean to me it doesn't really do anything that special....unless you want to the picture of clear person up front and blurry in the back. I cant remember what the name of it is called but its not even a feature you can do on the phone till apple implements the software in an update...

So I was reading the way these Airpods work.. sounds neat.. it pairs automatically when you open the case and the way it saves power...

The only thing sucks is the airpods works together.. so if you LOOSE 1 of them, then your screwed.. because the way it works is when your listen to music and you take one out of your ear, the music stops.. so if you actually loose 1 of them, then the music doesnt even play because the device thinks you just take one of them out of your ear.. LMAO

^I heard about that but I also heard they can still play by using one of the airpods in one ear or I could be mis informed...also the design of the airpods is fucking terrible. I mean you have all these smart engineers in one room and they come up with this. Earpods with the wires cut off come on. Also with Tim Cook approving this where is the innovation? I mean a lot of people have said the innovation was gone once Steve Jobs died and I can see it.

Not sure how this would work, if the statement I posted was true... how would the device distinguish between a lost piece vs removing 1 from ear?

- the OIS becoming a standard camera feature in the new iPhone 7 is an upgraded feature as this was only available in the 6 Plus and 6s Plus.
- the 7MP front facing camera is an upgraded feature and quite possibly one of the best in class. I believe the norm. today is a 5MP camera.
- the optical zoom as already mentioned, a feature of the 7 Plus (dual camera) doesn't only help when attempting to zoom in without jeopardizing quality, but it also helps create a depth perception in all your photos.
- the new camera's quad LED lighting helps with low-lighting situations. The previous iPhone and the normal today is dual-led.

Body Features
- iP67 waterproofing is a new major feature as it allows iPhone users for the first time to be able to use their phones around water.
- the new iPhones comes with a brighter and more vivid display, although the resolution/dpi and screen size and type are the same.
- the iPhone 7 comes with stereo speakers, still not a norm for phones these days.

Software
- a lot of iOS10 features will be tailored for the new iPhone 7 so it's safe to say, if you like any of the new iOS10 features, you'll likely need an iPhone 7 to ensure a smooth as butter operation.

My jet black iPhone 7 arrived today and it's still in the shipping box because I don't think I want it anymore. I didn't get excited when it arrived as I did with the iPhone 4, 5, & 6. So I'm probably going to return it in the next few days :blushsmile:
