Berzerker 08-30-2016 09:01 AM

Bluetooth headphones FTW!

Berz out.

MarkyMark 08-30-2016 09:41 AM

Sounds like the big update will be next year, which is pretty lame considering its been two years since a major redesign.

TOPEC 08-30-2016 10:19 AM

looks like the design is pretty much set

iPhone 7 Plus ? Spigen Inc.

most notable change is the lens shape and antenna placement. i thought the home button will also be flush but it doesnt seem like it

rumors that i've heard and read have been pointing towards a flush home button involving 3d touch.

just gonna have to wait till sept 7th to find out.

Not if you are into sound quality.

Just because the technology is new does not make it better.

twitchyzero 08-30-2016 11:15 PM

it's always nice to have a headphone jack but BT is the way to go, on-the-go
if you cared about SQ you probably wouldn't even use a mobile phone without portable dac
the high-res audio in my sony is good enough for me esp since i only use cheap IEM when traveling

High-resolution audio: everything you need to know | What Hi-Fi?

OT, looking forward to next year's iphone when they come out with a premium model with OLED...about damn time! pair it with superb battery life and I'll ditch android...getting bored of it.

I actually use a dedicated MP3 player. I just think it's stupid not having a headphone jack. It's makes 99.9% of the headphones in the world not able to work with the Iphone without an adapter. If you are going to use an adapter that means you can't charge at the same time.

On the plus side I will have less people asking me to play songs off there phone when I am DJing.

asian_XL 08-31-2016 02:11 AM

I wish I can go back to iphone. My last iphone was ip4. Every year I bought at least one and end up selling them due to super inflated reselling price in Hong Kong.

Android is going downhill, the only android people should get is the Nexus, but quality is no match with Apple.

Armind 08-31-2016 08:45 AM

The great debate begins soon.. iPhone 7 vs. Note 7. Or wait til next year.

Sound Quality is just fine. No one is looking for studio quality out of their phones. Portability and ease of use are the big factors. Being able to go cord free has been awesome since I got my BT headphones. I can leave my phone in my gym bag and still listen to music. I'm sure a lot of people do that with purses and back packs. Yes it will make a lot of people buy new headphones but I wonder if they will include some BT headphones with the purchase like they did with previous corded headphones?

How do you think this will affect the prices of the 6S and 6Plus?

Berz out.

ilovebacon 08-31-2016 01:54 PM

the new headphones are connected to the lighting ports if you guys havent heard it yet.

Can you expand why Android is going downhill?

Hondaracer 08-31-2016 02:07 PM

Hope it's somthing innovative..both for my portfolio and personal want lol..

Will Rogers have reservations as soon as it's announced?

Google isn't even making any more Nexus. Their next batch of phones will be called something different and won't come with vanilla android.

the rumored names are Pixel and Pixel XL. RIP Nexus. also, vanilla android? you're a couple OS' behind. lol.

also in regards to the iphone, its going to be the first all black iphone since the iphone 5. crap. i'm probably going to have to buy one..

MG1 09-07-2016 12:59 AM

no headphone jack means waterproof.........

MarkyMark 09-07-2016 06:01 AM

As opposed to all the waterproof phones with headphone jacks?

Unless Apple makes some huge hardware and software changes I won't be going back. It's pretty bad when the best rumors are for next years iPhone and not the one they are announcing today.

i do think that apple makes a higher quality product, but the user experience comes down to preference with respect to the OS. materials and hardware is better on the iphone no doubt.

however it's important to remember that my 5x came with 32GB and was only $559 at launch. if you want a comparable iphone, you'd have to go with the 64GB and the 6s (non plus model), which launched for $1,029.

Armind 09-07-2016 10:52 AM

The only thing that appeals to me the most is the camera.

Nothing made me SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY lol.

MarkyMark 09-07-2016 11:02 AM

Lol pretty much a iPhone 6S-S

They said they took away the headphone jack because of "Courage."

Another thing about wireless apple could do Digital DRM meaning it won't play movies/videos unless legally bought from the Itunes Store or using their
propriety headphones/speakers. Analog you can bypass DRM restrictions, wireless DRM good luck with that lol.

Wired headphones don't need charging lol, 5 hours of battery life with ear pods I wonder at what volume.

I get it Apple likes to get rid of old technology and replace it with better. Floppy Disk drive --> CD Drive --> firewire usb-c lighting port etc.
But the 3.5 mm has been a staple for so long, because there's no better or current alternative. Bluetooth lol. Apple is forcing bluetooth/wireless
technology to get better or catchup to wired headphones. At least they will include an adaptor lol.

Hondaracer 09-07-2016 12:41 PM

The argument of listening to an iPhone for "quality" sound is irellecent imo. You want quality? Listen to lossless audio or original recordings at home on quality systems not portable devices.

My device tab with Rogers is up so I'll be all in on dat black model

Only a Apply Fan boy would say Android is going down hill.
Apple is still playing catch up.

MarkyMark 09-07-2016 01:20 PM

Unless you're stuck in the Apple ecosystem I don't see any reason to choose this phone over the Note 7, once your battery doesn't explode lol.
