I was SUPER excited about phones back then. They weren't ALL that special and spectacular but build quality was there always and they were unique. http://image.cellphones.ca/images/ph...00-large-1.jpg I LOVED this phone. First phone I've ever bought with an extended battery. Sanyo's "Mr. Skinny." Amazing feeling in your hand. http://bm.img.com.ua/berlin/storage/...01bd898ebd.jpg First phone I had with polyphonic ringtones. Flashing LEDS that I went hype about lol. https://cnet4.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/r...40-front-2.gif First phone I had with MP3 ringtones and custom wallpapers. I remember spending $500 on with a 3 yr contract with Fido. Crazy money for a phone back then. Remember buying a flashing led antenna for it lol. http://www.extragsm.com/images/phone...ng-D800-01.jpg Quite possibly one of Revscene's hottest phones. Slider broke down pretty quickly though. I also remember buying CityFido plans on Revscene back in the day too. It was crazy how much they were going for back then. I remember spending anywhere from $250-$400 on just buying the rights to a plan and phone number. If I remember correctly, the phone number I've had for the past 15 years was bought off another member from Revscene who was going back home to Hong Kong and needed to get rid of it. I had go-to guys on Revscene when I needed to buy out-of-market phones from reliable people (Back with Revscene Feedback mattered): BlackCharle !Yaminshai Volvo-brickster Badbatz00 blahzay Kardboard Also remember dropping a lot of coin at Cellworldco in Burnaby and Phonemore in Richmond. JP is still my go-to guy for repairs though and unlocks. #throwbacksaturdaynight |
Best: BB bold 9000, trackball>trackpad even if the ball got stuck every once in a while. I had mine during the pinnacle of BBM as well which made it even better. It was unbreakable. I dropped it so many times and even left it in some snow on Seymour while snowboarding, it was fine when I found it almost 2 hours later :lol I miss the physical keyboard. Worst: Samsung GS4, it as pretty good initially but got slow over time and the replacement phones I got back on the device protection program were refurbished and never seemed to work as well as the original one I had. Using a GS5 Active as a work phone and it has many of the same problems as my S4 |
