| Infiniti to introduce Variable Compression Engine
Infiniti just announced variable compression ratio technology.
It can adjust top dead center to alter the compression ratio from 8:1 to 14:1.   |

I like how the compression is the same as Saab's version of variable compression. 
Neet idea but it just means more moving parts to fail.

Neat idea, but I'm gonna guess the first 3 generations or so will have all kinds of problems with component failures costing extremely large amounts of money to fix.

I'm not an engineer or anything but this is to me is a technology marvel. Infiniti VC-T - First Variable Compression Engine  
essentially it's variable ratio compression to deliver better fuel economy and power when you need it.
