Yes it's scannable.

For groceries i use "out of milk" but there are plenty of those apps. This one does the job for me.

Order from Koodo, $200 up front with a $504 tab.

Cancel next day.

$200 up front cost
$15 sim card
$504 tab balance
Plus taxes
And that's your total cost for the pixel 2 XL

Go to Wow Mobile. They offer instant $100 off up front cost. Trade in old, shitty, even non-working phone for additional $$$ off up front cost.

You can do both actually. Some people have waited to actually receive the phone before canceling though when they ordered online.

I got mine from Best Buy and canceled a couple days ago via porting the number out to a bell prepaid so I didn't even have to call.

I believe wowmobile has them as well, you might be able to get it for cheaper if you trade in your old phone. They can reduce the price if it's not a $0 up front phone

ok so let me get this straight

i have a bell $60 10gb plan right now

if i go to a koodo store and set up a plan with the new number, i can cancel in store the next day and pay the $504 or whatever it was (the tab) off and keep the phone for around $700ish??? and then put my old sim card with bell back in???

seems like im saving $300 right? or am i doing this wrong.

Yup that's exactly right. Except the going to the store to cancel, you have to do it through calling or porting out. I did the porting out option. You can even just put the bell sim card straight into the phone lol, they come unlocked.

Koodo stores also won't have the Pixel, you'll need to go to either best buy or wowmobile.

Trade in a old phone at wowmobile and get like $100 off the $200 upfront.

Koodo stores and kiosks do have the pixel 2 and pixel 2 xl. Whether they have them in stock is another question.

I have the Tough Armor and I love it. A bit chunky but still very nice.

Saturated colour setting if you prefer the Samsung-like colour palette. Use the System Tuner UI to tweak your settings.

Have you guys updated to the new Android 9 Pie system?

Already found one flaw with it, my wifi icon is showing up as a flashlight icon.

Gh0stRider 08-10-2018 03:16 PM

Yup, upgraded to Pie yesterday. I had issues getting the dark theme to work, but I fixed that. I dont have issues with wifi icon

CorneringArtist 08-10-2018 04:15 PM

Upgraded to Pie as well, no issues with dark theme, but split screen sucks ass now as you now have to select what apps to split individually instead of long pressing the square button.

After giving it a couple of reboots, it's back to normal.

Battery optimization seems to be better than he previous version. Ironically it's giving hopeful time estimations on how long the phone will last :lawl:

BIC_BAWS 08-15-2018 06:32 AM

Anyone else having random reboot issues on the OG Pixel?

TypeRNammer 08-18-2018 12:02 PM

Pretty decent deal for the Pixel XL 2 of anyone wants to jump on it.

Best Buy Koodo
$0 up front cost
$480 tab large
$30 activation fee
One day of prorated service after cancelling.

Or you can go to Walmart, price match best buy, and get a 100 dollar gift card on top.

Deals are only good for this weekend

If you are already on Koodo, can you just 'add a new line' and cancel the next day for these type of deals so you can avoid the credit checks for opening a new account? Or this only work with new accounts?

Yes, you can do that if you're already with Koodo.

$30 activation fee is waived if you set it up online. It looks like it still works as of now...

Even though it's waived, the pricing is different.

Koodo online asking zero up front cost. But on an extra large tab. So the cost will be $720 plus taxes.

Got my pixel xl 2 with Walmart

$546 after cancellation and taxes, and a $100 Walmart gift card.

Technical net cost $446

The deal would be pretty sick if Best Buy offered the $100 because you can use it against the phone after cancellation to have a true net cost of $446

TOS'd 08-20-2018 03:27 PM

How is the pixel 2 xl holding up from being almost one year old? Is it still comparable to newer smart phones?

I would say it's definitely comparable. It's an over all well rounded phone, software being the main selling point.

Even my original Pixel XL still runs like a champ. Only reason why I upgraded is because I took advantage of the pricing.

Gh0stRider 10-13-2018 06:10 PM

anyone getting the Pixel 3/XL?
