Anyone having any wifi connectivity issues? odd - never had ANY issues with my NOTE 5 yet the Samsung shows "connected no internet" on some wifi networks.

Occasionally I'd get it. Restart the phone

Back when I had my Iphone 4, that thing lasted more than a whole day and barely drained any battery life on standby mode.

No idea why Android likes to give blowjobs to the battery.

Depends on the phone and what sync options you have configured. My pixel 2XL is at 1-3% battery drain overnight so far

s8 user here

overnight battery drain for me is between 5-10% depending on how many notifications i get

battery life is great for me, i have the phone on medium battery saver mode with the brightness turned up (i don't like dim screens). when i was travelling my phone would go through at least 12 hours of heavy usage every day, and i'd still have 20-30% juice left over

so no complaints from me
