with the way consoles are with firmware updates and games. its a goosechase..don't got all the time in the world anymore ha
mario tennis tho is very fun tho
I agree. Just buy games if you're not a child with more time than money. Also why not support the people making the stuff you enjoy spending your time on?
Why is it still so 'normal' to just take stuff without paying for it when it comes to games and movies?
I'll look up what the switch hack will do. There is a slight buzz about this.. the secondhand cart market here in HK is odd as Splatoon2 is quite expensive. Doesn't look like its related to the hacking scene
either way... it's a lot of work to get the actual game itself onto an SD Card...
Mario Tennis is fun though. Its a tennis game at it's core, with fighting game mechanics

Movie it depends I go to the theater a lot and already paid like $20 for it. If I download it is most likely for the odds times I want it again once in a blue moon. Doesn't make much sense to pay $5 or more to watch within 24 hours or pay $20+ for a blue ray copy when I don't even have a blue ray player.
But these days I don't even bother now. Sub for a Chinese website that have tons of movies and TV shows for like $100US for a year for 2 IP at the same time.
I also have Movie network/Netflix so I have more then enough to watch .
I mean if movies can be like Netflix where you can watch all of the movies for $20 a month I wouldn't mind paying for it. But in no way I would pay $5 just to be able to watch it within 24 hours.
Started playing Breath of the Wild on my sister's Switch yesterday, connected to my gaming monitor
I am NOT used to playing games at 900p 30 fps (scaling down to 810p during intense scenes)
This will take some getting used to. Hope I can really get into the game, so many people have said how good it is. And I spent $60 on it, something I haven't done in many years. (used copies aren't much cheaper so I got the download version)
Controls are so fucking bad though. So many times I try to get behind a rock or a wall, and link just fucking starts climbing it. Or when you try to climb over a ledge that... well is just broken in the game, he doesn't climb it but falls to his death instead.
Only a few hours in, and these issues keep popping up over and over. So far I'm at "fuck this game" but we'll see.
EDIT: I haven't had any issues with the controls myself, but I'm more of a console gamer than a PC gamer, so that could be why.
I just bought Octopath traveler and I'm only 3 hours in or so and so far I'm really enjoying it. I think there is a demo available for download. Worth checking out, it's an RPG.

Oh I am bad I rarely use a controller any more, so this is taking some getting used to. But really the controls do have Link try to "climb" things way too much. Like pushing a log, he will push, then jump on before you're finished pushing. It happens so much!
Octopath was pretty cool, I played the 3 hour demo waiting in immigration I'll pick it up later when I'm in the mood for an RPG. I just finished Kingdom Come, so it will be a bit
What controller are you using? I never seemed to have much of an issue but I do agree about the climbing thing
Using the Pro Controller... Right now I think the only issue is the climbing thing, the rest is probably on me. Nearly 40 using a gaming controller, feels weird man
I'm just so used to mouse and keyboard. Even though I've had all the consoles up to XBOX 360/PS3, I always preferred PC and its controls. I just have to get used to it, and the game is good enough to want to spend a lot of time doing so
i couldn't get use to using the joycons in each hand...i thought it would be the most comfortable thing ever but nah..felt really off to me using a controller 100% of the time on console.
And these stupid side quests... Pay 80 rupees to buy 5 fire arrows, use 4 of them to light torches, get a 20 rupee reward
Go get a carrot for the person to cook, takes 5 seconds. Go back, and it's raining so she left
And the weapons... Why did they do it that way?
Also is it just me or is the music really bad in this game? Like not BAD bad, just totally unremarkable and boring.
TBH I don't know if I can get into this game fully. It seems like a "good game" but that's about it. So much annoying stuff to deal with, and the negatives are a bigger deal than the positives
