If anyone is experiencing joy con drift, Nintendo is still repairing them for free. They will even pay for your postage etc.
I recently sent my release joy cons and they were repaired and shipped back in under a week. I believe they only extended this program for North America and some parts of Europe tgough

Any issue I think. On their site it’s not just drift they cover if I remember correctly
My original release joy con’s had some pretty bad drift but also seemed to have button response issues so when you send them in you write a brief description of the issues with the cons. Should he here tom so we’ll see.
Never really was that big of an issue until we stared playing Mario party and it became very evident

I couldn't be bothered sending my joycons in since I only had one pair at the time. Ended up just getting replacement sticks off Amazon and fixing it myself.
Apparently if you get joysticks using Hall effect sensors, you never have to worry about joycon drift ever again.
i imagine it could be more cost effective to replace them then have a certified/trained tech on salary to trouble shoot, open it up, use parts, successfully repair, and test.
They send a little generic form with it which says they do test for the issues noted
So not sure if you’d be able to send just old ones in and get replacements if they actually hook them up to somthing and test tolerances but I’m sure if you’ve got old or original joy cons they would probably just end up getting replaced.
My original release joy cons were quite worn and visibly so, and they went on numerous trips etc. so I can’t tell if it was just the wear or not but these new ones seem to be of higher quality

Anyone playing Tears of the kingdom with a release model switch?
Don’t know if it’s just a release model issue but man, some of these scenes with lots of action the frame rate falls off a cliff. I wouldn’t say unplayable but it’s pretty bad

Yup it's bad. Getting into fights, it's sometimes hard to even keep up with what's going on, so many frames are missing. I've died at times having no idea what killed me.
Also the lock system is really bad, along with the frame rate it's tough to switch back and forth between enemies. Fighting more than 2 at once is just awful, so I spend most of the game exploring, and when there's a large group of enemies I mostly try to cheese them with bows and those confusion berries
Tempted to emulate it but looking into it, it's a lot of effort

I think the switch was poorly designed overall. Lots of complaints online, of the switch dropping frames, mine does it too, I've noticed it on pokemon and Zelda when running around outside in certain areas.
Need to reset the switch every 1-2hrs for it to run "smooth".....

pro tip: enemies cant one-shot you if you're full health, no matter how many hearts you have.
Overclocking helps most when you do the ultrahand thing. But outside of that I haven't noticed much of a difference when playing handheld.
I got burnt out from doing all the shrines. Haven't touched the game in over a week, lol.
is overclocking name of an in-game skill, or are you talking about overclocking the switch's CPU? if so, how do you do that, and do you risk frying the switch due to overheating?
sometimes i lag when i play overwatch 2 on it, especially start of the match

My Switch is modded. I just mentioned it since overclocking was brought up.

Ya, with mods you can do a bunch of things - backup saves, play homebrews, add cheats, overclocking CPU/GPU/RAM, modify games (like 60fps patches) and play pirated games

Oh hell yeah I loved this game as a kid about time they did a remake of it
Can't wait for this to come out.
I hope one of these days there will be a Chrono Trigger remake
EDIT:
The last game I played that was remade was Zelda Link's Awakening. It was a good game but the frame rate drop was horrendous.
