Damn... What do you guys do on your phone? I use like 500mb/mo. :lol WiFi everywhere |
Finally got my friend's number ported properly. Paying $34 a month right now with auto-pay and 4 referrals. Life is good! |
I think I'm used to Bell superb network, never had a single downtime in my 12+ years with them. Today Fido network acting funny in the morning and now, LTE not working....:fuuuuu: Wow, now damn great after some research. http://forums.fido.ca/t5/forums/foru...hread-id/28437 I have S7 Edge, seem like it doesn't go well with Fido/Rogers network? I've never had to restart my phone once on Bell network unless I froze the phone...Restarted phone like 4 times today. Fido POS! I knew it was a bad idea to switch to this plan.... |

kicker is that this plan is only on their 4g network. the 45 plan is lte but limited to certain phones. s7 and iphones arent even supported |

and before that they were telling me how well their tower service are since they upgraded lol |
Because Wind/Freedom's LTE is AWS3 (66).. it will take at least a year or so before device manufacturers come up with compatible devices. Quote:

Chicken or Egg problem... besides most people who sign up for Wind are not that particular anyways. Quote:

I signed up to winds LTE not realizing it was aws-3 and I noticed in the fine print that eastern Ontario has aws-1 LTE spectrums So I tweeted wind about it and they basically said "too bad so sad" funny thing is that Public Mobile saw my tweet and tweeted me saying I should switch to their LTE service lmao |
Bump... Just got a text from PM stating that my rate will increase by $10/30 days. I was on the $120/90 days/12GB plan. Anyone else get this or have any thoughts? People on the PM forums are pretty pissed off, because their promotional material explicitly stated: https://rsxze77497.i.lithium.com/t5/...e?v=1.0&px=999 |
^ sucks cause after all the discounts it was like $36/month T_T |
https://mobilesyrup.com/2018/02/15/p...ce-plan-koodo/ “In response to MobileSyrup‘s request for comment, a representative for the CCTS said the commission could not comment on the case but noted: “I can tell you that the role of the CCTS is to ensure that providers respect the commitments made to their customers, and if we receive complaints regarding price changes/increases we will look into them and ensure that customers receive what they were promised.” This is not the first round of promotional texts to go out recently. Last week, a MobileSyrup reader received an offer for a $40 Koodo plan that included 2GB of data and unlimited Canada-wide calling. They had a $120 90-day plan with 6GB of data and unlimited provincial talk. Read more at MobileSyrup.com: Public Mobile increases rate on promo plan, offers subscribers $40/4GB Koodo plan” |

Will likely switch to Koodo before March 15th. My plan renews several days later, so not like I'm losing months of prepaid service. Really enjoyed the flexibility of of the 12GB/3month plan. If I'm over by a month, I'd limit my use in the next month. But at least there's $100 out of it. Better than nothing. |
have to buy the sim card as well so you really get $85 credit minus what you have left on the current payment |
Just going to repost this from RFD. It's basically a step by step guide on how to file a complaint with the CCTS. Apparently, CCTS actually has power and people that have filed complaints through them have reached a good resolution (via RFD and reddit) Here I will make it as easy for you guys to file a complaint Go to this link https://www.ccts-cprst.ca/for-consum...omplaint-form/ 1. Select Contract 2. Select Wireless 3. When did you become aware? Feburary 15, 2018 4. Select Public Mobile 5. Select Personal 6. Answer: YES that you have tried to resolve this with the company 7. Answer: NO that there are no other organizations which have the authority to compensate a customer for losses currently helping you to resolve this complaint. 8. You can answer with the following or change it as follows: Please provide the details of your complaint. Please ensure that you describe, in as much detail as possible, the steps you took to resolve the issue with your service provider and your service provider’s response. My plan provided me with 12gb of data for for $120/every 3 months. They are increasing my bill to $150/3 months starting March 20th. This is inconsistent and not what was promised when the advertisement indicated the following "If you have signed up for the promotional plan, you will be able to keep it after the promo period, as long as you are an active customer. This means that, as long as you are an active customer on this plan, your plan price will remain at $120, even after your initial 90 days. No surprises". Link to website to this quote: https://productioncommunity.publicmo...lan/td-p/77350 What do you consider to be a reasonable resolution to your dispute? To allow me to keep my plan as I have fulfilled my side of the contract to continue to be an active customer at $120/3 months for the same service I was guaranteed without having to switch to another carrier. 7. Enter your personal info 8. Attach a photo of the public mobile post screenshot if you want. |
Public Mobile Reverses Decision: $40/4GB Plan to Stay After Customer Outcry | iPhone in Canada Blog - Canada's #1 iPhone Resource looks like they reverse their decision and keep the 120/90days plus still allowing people to port over to koodo if they wanted with the 100$ credit. |
Yeah I just got the text saying they are cancelling the price hike in March. |
Too much backlash from the forums. But I think some people already jumped the gun and switched over to Koodo. LOL |
i'm going to stay with public mobile for now since i'm only paying 36/month after loyalty. they will increase sooner or later but it is just a matter of when |
Anyone's reception been shitty recently? Some of my calls go straight of VM.. wtf. Had no problem in my condo until now. |
