The rear turn signal/reverse light on the Diablo was used on a bunch of cars as well.

The 300ZX headlights on the Lambo is funny because the 300 uses the door styling of the first Lambo, the Muira.

Shitty picture of the 300 door but you see can see how the rear ed comes up.

The Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme had a vinyl top.

Fun fact: My first car was a black Cutlass Supreme. -drove that car while some friends/classmates at SFU were driving Preludes way back in the day.

Some guys thought that I was a gangsta.

-picture similar to my first ride:

Subaru had a brief stint in Formula 1 in 1990 with a flat 12. Didn't do well, but it looked cool.

McLaren MP4-12C has a Nissan heart

Early in this project, McLaren engineering director Neil Hannemann nominated an engine for the MP4-12C that was originally developed in Nissan’s racing department. Nissan and Infiniti had raced this spinoff from the Infiniti Q45 V-8 at Le Mans (1997 and 1999) and in two Indy Racing League series (1997–2005).

Other than a 93-mm (3.66 inches) bore dimension, little of Nissan’s VRH engine exists in today’s M838T V-8. Developed in collaboration with Ricardo, this is a compact 90-degree twin-turbo V-8 with aluminum construction, Nikasil bore surfaces, dual overhead cams, and variable intake- and exhaust-valve timing. The modest 3.8-liter displacement is McLaren’s nod to the environment.

The Mclaren f1 uses mirrors from the VW corrado, and when removed they were even still stamped with the VW part no.

The BMW 850i / 750i of the same era was the first production car with the drive by wire throttle body. (ugh)

Mazda has been the sole Japanese Manufacturer thus far to win Le Mans (Toyota... so close)

Mitsubishi Evo 6 WRC was the last machine that competed under Group A rules.

-Ford's 302 H.O engine in the 80's-90's 5.0 Mustang is actually 4.9 litres. The new 5.0 is indeed 5 true litres.

-The LT5 engine found in the late 80's early 90's Corvette ZR1 was designed by Lotus and assembled by Mercury Marine.

with limited trunk space, a matching trailer was a $5000 option

The 2000-2001 Mazda MPV Has an engine (Duratec 25) very similar to the Ford SVT Contour / Mercury Cougar therefore it sounds freakishly good under acceleration.

It's struts are also manufactured by Tokico and has Takata branded seatbelts

Some model years of Jaguars use Ford fob remotes.
Why pay Jag prices when you can walk into a Ford dealership and buy the same remote. LOL.

The Porsche logo pays tribute to Germany

The Porsche logo features the colors of the German flag, the name of the city where the company is based (Stuttgart) and a picture of a horse to denote power and speed. Horses horses were also bred in Stuttgart -- the city's name translates to "stud farm." The background comes from the coat of arms of Württemberg, a former state in southwestern Germany (which had Stuttgart as its capital)

Crazy fact:

When the 1st gen NSX was released, the lightest paint (weight-wise per gallon) was the RED colour, so technically the fastest NSX were Red NSXes
