Nope. No, thank you. Prometheus killed it for me. The last one had people too dumb to not drink a drink when someone else visibly and audibly sticks their fingers into it. Magneto could have finished wiping his ass port for android waste and may never have washed his hands for all we know.
I don't mind Danny McBride or James Franco. Besides Danny being kinda douchey they are both included in the cast as legit potential victims and not comedic relief. Danny even said in an interview that this movie is supposed to be more horror/thriller/creature, unlike Prometheus which was more sci-fi. McBride may end up being like Bill Paxton from ALIENS; which was golden IMO.
Looks really good. I guess I have to finally get around to watching Prometheus
Just be prepared for an eventual letdown
Personally I thought it was just ok- it seemed half-baked. Basically felt like 80% first act with a sudden resolution. Could've probably set that as the first act to Covenant in a 3 hour spectacle

That because it was re-written by Damon Lindelof -- thankfully he has nothing to do with this sequel.

Checked it out with my friends last night pretty good movie overall. Slow start for me though, felt like the first 45 mins coulda been done in 20 mins.
I was looking forward to this but had a different opinion. I thought it was tied for the worst movie in the franchise and wished I would have went and watched GGOT 2 instead. It was super predictable, slow and I just wanted it to end.

lol james franco didnt even do anything except sleep and die.
i don't get it, so david created the aliens? what? doesn't that make the rest of the alien movies kinda not make any sense?
and did walter die? or can he regenerate? how come all the androids in the other alien movies which take place like 100-300 years in the future cant regenerate? wtf?

Spoiler!
Nothing makes sense in the movie. They wrote in sleeping pods that can catch fire from within and incinerate. I mean come on, I understand they have to move the plot but they just treat the viewers as retards.
David modified the "dna" of the original alien created by the Engineers to the face huggers you see at the end. All from his cave. The whole Walter switcharoo made no sense -- David had a nail in his chin but after the "switcharoo" his chin was magically healed even though he has no healing built in like Walter.
Pretty sure this is Ridley's last Alien movie, rushed it just so Blomkamp wouldn't get a chance at his own version. I was hoping for an amazing setting on the Engineer home planet but all we got for visuals was some random lake near Vancouver BC.
it also felt like a re-hash where the female defeats the alien single handedly...ooo...Ridley all over again for 2017....and why no space suits on a alien planet really high tech smart people?...did u forget about infections?
