I don't think you did your homework at all on the new R6. There are pages of info stating the differences. The price tag for 600's across the board seem to be going up but I would not even think to utter the words "remains the same" when discussing that bike.
-ABS (ya, the bike actually finally comes with abs)
-Traction control (another first, something this chasis has never seen!)
-Quickshifter option
-Complete overhaul on the exterior
-Revised suspension 43mm forks (kyb, fully adjustable front and rear)
-r1 suspension and brakes
-magnesium subframe
-Aluminum fuel tank
The motor already has 130hp and is the class leader for power. It doesn't need more power. I had this discussion with a coworker. They have classes for a reason. If you want more torque and power go to a 1000cc class. You can't always expect more and more power.
