I saw the bear one once so far and it's super green in real life! (more green than the image)

Do you guys really think those Parks & Recreation plates make your cars look better?

To me, it makes the car look dirty almost...like it needs to be washed or something.

I'd rather stick to simple plates, but maybe it's just me.

6o4__boi 02-03-2017 12:30 PM

i don't know about making it look better but it's a nice break from the common plate
lol my car does need to be washed though

waiting for the end of snowmageddon...last time i washed it, it snowed a few days later

No offense to anybody who bought the bear plate. I chose the porteau cove, and my fiancé now is very happy I did.

"I saw one of those bear plates.... Look like someone jizzed on a bush or tree" she said. Many lols were had

These plates look great in person.

Those look great! I can't decide between the Porteau Cove and the Purcell Mountain..

snails 02-14-2017 01:38 PM

got mine this week

i based it on the colour of my vehicles.
i plan to get the mountains for the Integra as its blue and so are the mountains, if my vehicle was white, grey or black i would have went with the bear but being that the xterra is red the cove was my only option and i am happy with it

These have been hella popular on the various 4WD groups I'm in.

it seems like if a broker gets the first batch of plates, it will be the same number batch for all 3 types.

All I want are these designs on the custom plates. Is it too much to ask?

I don't know.
If you're serious about it, call them and ask. If you're willing to pay more $, they might let you make your custom plates on one of those designs.

Just picked up the Porteau Cove "123" at Westwood Sussex. There is another 123 in the Bear design.

Oshiguru 02-28-2017 02:04 PM

Frick that bear with the googly eyes is hilarious

Civic owners. I called a few places in Vancouver trying to find a 555 park plate for my brother, almost all of them said they just got EG#-## plates in

$50 to buy and $10 to renew would make it affordable to all BC's.

Why doesn't government get the Ken's Kitchen concept?? volume selling?!? Why do they try to forecast everything based $3/person x 100 people. why not $0.30 x 1000? ??

320icar 02-28-2017 06:28 PM

If you love hiking and camping and doing what BC does best, the $40 doesn't matter. Though I get your point.

The whole reason I love camping so much is because my family was somewhat poor growing up, it was the only vacations we could afford every year

If only we knew what % of our funds are actually used for conservation... my paranoia of it being a negligible amount is keeping me from getting one of these plates...

It says that $33 of every new license go toward park funds

coneZONE 03-01-2017 06:32 PM

Just wondering, for you guys who've exchanged your plates more recently, are you still getting the park plates based on a prorated price? Because the guy at our local Autoplan was adamant that it would be straight up $50 even if you return your current plates, but he did say that very few people were purchasing them, so who knows if he actually knows.

JACKED 03-01-2017 06:48 PM

Only started noticing these plates a couple days ago. So far I've only see the one with the mountains and sunset. Looks really nice in person.

Is this supposed to be a limited time thing?
