icbc : will pay out repair cost + salvage $

i drive a 04 /tsx, that was in a accident recently. as per body shop, it will cost about $5400 to repair. however icbc deems the car to be worth $8500

i kindly asked my adjuster to write it off. he said due to $ difference he can't however, one of my option is , ICBC will pay me the repair costs plus whatever they sell the car to salvage for.

has anybody had any experience with this.. ? and how much u got from icbc selling ur car to salvage..

PS. (Gone)))))
if anybody wants tein ss for TSX/accord, they r urs free(will need ur factory ones), u pay to take them off and put in factory

and free 18' tl (a-spec wheels), 2 r little curbed due to accident. (ill need ur 17+rubber), u pay to mount/unmount.

you can ask your adjuster for the salvage value. they have always told me when i asked. or speak with the manager if your adjuster is reluctant to tell you.

from personal, and friends experience, it won't be much for an older car, you're probably looking at $2K max, and that's on the high end of things.

I'd also ask if they deduct any costs associated with the salvage transaction.

End of day, having a repaired car that's not a rebuilt might be worth more to sell. However, taking their offer would likely be a lot less headache/work dependent on the total offer.

Thanked for the freebies offered.
