The title says Hellcat Demon, but seems like Hellcat and Demon are actually different grade.
Just like Camaro ZL1 and Z28, Corvette Z06 and ZR-1, Mustang BOSS 302 and GT500, etc..
read the date and what was written in the posted article.
when news first came out about the car it was initially called the hellcat demon. it was later changed to just demon.

Editor's note: This editorial has been updated to make clear the Demon has been banned from regulated drag strips as-is from the factory upon delivery.
The 840-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Demon from Fiat Chrysler is so inherently dangerous to the common safety of motorists that its registration as a road-worthy automobile should be banned.
We don't reach this conclusion lightly. There are more powerful, and even faster, vehicles available from other automakers that are rightly street legal.
But just as Tesla is wrong to use consumers and the roadways to beta-test its autonomous driving technologies, Dodge is wrong to offer a purpose-built drag racer as a road-legal automobile.
From its barely legal slick tires to its monstrous acceleration, the Challenger Demon introduced in New York this month is the result of a sequence of misguided corporate choices that places bragging rights ahead of public safety.
Laudably, the entire industry has made great strides toward improved vehicle safety in recent years, even as it dials up performance capabilities. But with the Demon, Dodge spits on that goal and irresponsibly moves in the opposite direction, knowingly placing motorists in danger in the process.
Oddly enough, for a vehicle designed to be a purpose-built drag racer, the Demon -- as delivered from the factory -- has already been banned from regulated drag strips by that sport's sanctioning body, the National Hot Rod Association, allegedly for being "too fast."
The Demon may comply sufficiently with the letter of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to legally be registered for on-road use, but in its current form it certainly doesn't fulfill the spirit of those standards.
To borrow a phrase from Ralph Nader, the Demon remains unsafe at any speed.

Demon buyers must sign a document saying they won't drive it in the cold, in the rain, or even on the highway...lol makes the car kinda useless if you ask me.
i like this part though:
"Finally, you have to sign your understanding that if you’re buying the car for at or below MSRP, your Demon will be high-priority on the production line."
Kudos to FCA!!

Dodge Reveals the MSRP of 840 hp Challenger Demon
By Evan Williams July 18, 2017 Share this article:
Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
After months of waiting and teasing, Dodge has finally announced the price for the 300 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon models that are coming to Canada.
The 6.2L V8 with 808 hp and 717 lb-ft of torque will start with an MSRP of $109,995. That gets you a two-speaker stereo and a driver's floor mat. There is no passenger seat, no sound insulation, and no trunk carpet. That's not a lot of luxury, but the performance bits make up for it. There's the A/C powered chiller to bring down intake temperatures, the largest hood scoop of any production car, lightweight brakes, thicker driveshaft, drag suspension, 315 wide Nitto drag radials, and launch control. Oh yeah, and it'll run nine-second quarter mile times.
It's always the options list that gets you. Want a passenger seat? That'll cost you. Trunk carpet? That'll set you back too. Oh, and you want the personalised Demon crate that gives you the full 840 hp, plus a jack, skinny front wheels, and a Snap-on cordless impact wrench? That's going to cost you a whole dollar.
There are some real option packages though. You can add a comfort group that puts the 18 speaker stereo back in along with Alcantara seat coverings over heated and ventilated front seats. The stereo and the seats are available in separate packages, and a special car cover and battery charger are also available.
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon should arrive at dealers later this year. But if you don't have your order in already, you might be too late.

Already sold out. One of the dealers I was talking to the one that did not take a deposit told me they are not getting one. Most are going to dealers in Ontario and Quebec.
