Canada Post: Missing Package?

Basically I ordered a pair of shoes from Nike Canada online and it turns out they didn't fit so I returned them. I shipped out the shoes through their return label they sent me through e-mail.

I've been back and forth contacting Nike and Canada Post as to where my package is as the tracking number says the scan was out for delivery in Brampton, Ontario at 10:06 am 01/16/2017 and then at 10:08 am the item says it was rescheduled for delivery next business day and hasn't arrived since, just disappeared.

I've already opened a service ticket with Canada Post and the most recent email they said was to contact Nike as on the rare occasion it may have not been scanned and put in their mailroom. When I contacted Nike, they said they didn't have it and they'll forward the problem to head office and get back to me in 3-5 business days.

I just hope my package wasn't stolen or lost as it's not insured. Any advice what I can do?

there's nothing you can do TBH. The situation is out of your control and its up to Canada Post / Nike to find it. You just have to wait it out a bit longer.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Nike will open an investigation, they will be reimbursed by CanadaPost, and Nike will refund you afterwards.

Having worked in a role from Nike's standpoint, they will file a trace/claim with Canada Post. As Razor Ramon said, you'll likely get a refund back before they need to close the trace with the carrier. Carrier will likely call you after Nike submits their trace, they will want to confirm your side of the story and that is all.

I always suggested my Customer Care team to suggest customers to keep their transaction receipt if they are dropping off their parcel at a carrier's office. Of course, you won't get one if you dump it in the postal mailbox.

Thanks for the info guys

I called Canada Post and because Nike provided the shipping label, they technically have to be the one to open a claim like k3lv said. Hopefully in the next few business days I'll hear back from Nike about them starting a claim.
