I got a November 3 delivery of a 256GB space grey iphone X, Craigslist responses are pretty slow.. :(

Koflach 10-28-2017 09:29 AM

you guys are nuts. these phones are WAY too much $$

Energy 10-28-2017 09:57 AM

I got a 256gb Space Grey for Nov 3 as well. Thought about buying some to resell but I'm not sure if the demand on this one will be great. People were easily able to order for 2-3 weeks after launch and that will kill the resale market.

LP700-4 10-29-2017 08:35 PM

Resale market isn't going well :lawl: A lot of CL ads now showing launch day ones for 100 bucks markup....
Good luck to all of you that bought for delivery in 2-3 weeks for resale.

Apple's extended holiday return policy will kick in for those receiving them after launch.

Might be able to resell them on Craigslist during Christmas, but I doubt it. I will probably just return it or change my mind and go from a 64GB to a 256GB.

Wow, that's pretty bad..

Is demand really that low? I thought there were supply issues..

scoobyej20 10-30-2017 08:54 AM

Anyone reselling in HK?

dapperfied 10-30-2017 09:02 AM

Here's to hoping the waitlist pushed to 2018 so people will scramble to get it for gifting. :okay:

dapperfied 10-30-2017 09:04 AM

I don't see any ads for $1800 ($100 markup)

They will only drop more. In two days or so all of them will be 100 markup max.

You can't expect resale to be high when they're making plenty of them...

twitchyzero 10-30-2017 12:37 PM

it's still available

if someone wanted it that bad they would've ordered already...even if they haven't already it's only weeks of wait not months...flipping it in our market is probably futile

either very few people believe in paying this much for a phone or the rumours were complete bs...probably both

pastarocket 10-31-2017 07:41 AM

One of my co workers, who works part time and attends UBC, told me yesterday that he reserved EIGHT iphone X's last Friday.

He said that he hopes to flip all of the phones and make a profit of 100 to 200 bucks per phone by selling them to his mainlander classmates. Good luck with that. :lawl:

twitchyzero 10-31-2017 08:54 AM

still smarter than using student loans for car parts

the first impression videos i've seen are saying Face ID is inconsistent...thinking about cancelling my order

lol he will be lucky if he can make $20 each. Most of people I know from China gets their phone through contract only a very few of them do buy the phone outright.

dapperfied 11-02-2017 08:20 AM

Been checking out some early reviews. Seems like the FaceID is not 100% reliable. But then again, they claim that it will get better over time. The reviewers only had a day to test it out..

Lol, rekt.

I bought ordered 2x for launch using one email and another 2x for 2-3 weeks using another. Made four single orders, lol.

Most people seemed to know it was 2 per order. Yours probably got flagged because it was one order of six phones?

Will sell you a 64GB tomorrow for $2000 and a 256GB later this month for $2500 :troll:

GG 11-02-2017 01:58 PM

3 orders
2 phones per order

twitchyzero 11-02-2017 05:48 PM

make couple hundred dollar and rack up some credit card points. Not a bad hustle for a poor student EleGiggle.

In all seriousness, the resell market on iPhones in general is almost non existent now. Apple store is literally in every market in the world. They've always had "supply chain issue" every release. This is their biggest release yet and with just couple weeks of wait time I would say Apple is doing very very well.

Jokes on you.. Going rate for 256gb's are around $300profit lol. Releases at the apple store was shit. Oakridge only had 10 units of 256gbs and limited 64gbs (only half the line got phones) Def. caused a raise in prices

Razor Ramon HG 11-03-2017 09:48 AM

I think the demand on Craigslist is going to peak on Sunday for those that want it this weekend. I put up an ad up myself.

dapperfied 11-03-2017 10:15 AM

If you buy online, it's now 3-4 weeks compared to 5-6 weeks few days ago

dapperfied 11-03-2017 12:45 PM

Those who got their phones today, I envy you. :okay:
