For the love of god, please remove the front ear piece if you are going bezel-less Apple.

Xiaomi Mi Mix has proven that vibration based solution can be a perfect alternative to the front ear piece. It's so great that in fact one no longer need to point their ear against the cutout; just attach the phone against your cheek/ear and you can hear perfectly.

twitchyzero 04-18-2017 11:15 AM

^ like someone else said, doubt they'll go bezeless on the top/bottom.

I've kinda gone without a case for a while now...so I don't think camera hump/bump works for me.

are there no lens ring for IP7 to prevent scratches? I only see it for IP6.

Hondaracer 04-18-2017 11:49 AM

lol the 7 looks nicer.. going to anything with a pronounced bezel would be a step backward

imo the 7+ in matte black is one of, if not the nicest phones ever made. It's hardy as hell too, i havent had a case on it since launch and the back is virtually scratch free

I like that rear fingerprint sensor

MarkyMark 04-20-2017 12:36 PM

Looks like Samsung and Apple are both having a hard time with the beneath the glass fingerprint sensor. This is why the fingerprint sensor on the S8 looks like an after thought, and if this leak is true Apple is preparing to go that route as well.

Would be more cool if they just made the Apple logo the fingerprint sensor as well.

radioman 04-20-2017 01:04 PM

^ was about to say the same thing. Would make the so much sense to have that logo be the sensor. Its been there forever and will keep the phone looking sharp without having 2 seperate things on the back.

Hehe 04-20-2017 02:42 PM

Apple should just make some use of that logo cutout on the rear. It's actually great positioned too.

Make it the FP reader and it glows upon touch/expecting input, you've got a great looking rear FP reader without disturbing the general design one bit.

Gucci Mane 04-20-2017 09:53 PM

Also looks like they still don't care about moving the power button down... :rukidding:

same thing i was thinking that'd be cool

Still think iphone4 and iphone 4+ looks the best.

4s* best looking iPhone? Sure, maybe. Best feeling iPhone? Not buy a long shot. Those edges were way too sharp and the phone felt weird in the hand because of it. The iPhone 3G/3Gs was the best feeling iPhone made. Felt so damn good in the hand with that curved back!

but it looks ugly @@

MarkyMark 04-26-2017 09:32 AM

The iPhone 4 was really well built. Probably one of the most premium feeling phones I ever had. The 5 that came after it was a total POS in comparison.

mikemhg 04-26-2017 10:11 AM

I agree. Iphone 4 and 4s were my favorite phones from them, by a long shot too.

going off-topic now but I think ergonomics has taken a back seat in mobile devices because using it as a phone, phone is becoming less of a priority. As long as the camera snapchats good, that's what matters.

phones made in the last few years are all so damn thin, as if they'll slip out of your hands without a case.

but so pretty doe

scoobyej20 04-30-2017 07:13 AM

more leaks..

most of the leaks are pointing to the same design
should only be another 2 months now...and it's gonna be bloody expensive

That camera hump looks like a tumor from the side...yuck.

I know MKBHD says this all the time, but they really should fill the back with more battery. I don't think a single consumer will prefer the -2mm thickness for a bigger battery.

"The thinnest iPhone. Ever."

ScizzMoney 07-18-2017 04:57 PM

Most people I know just throw a fucking otter box on it anyway.

Iceman_2K 07-20-2017 08:35 AM

So who's gonna get it? I'm not sure I'm going to change from the 7 to the 8 unless the 8 is fully waterproof. All the other features like the wireless charging and the larger screen I'm kinda meh on right now.

twitchyzero 07-20-2017 11:25 AM

is iP7 only rated to be splash-proof?

I really want it but I really don't need proprietary crap (lightning vs. USB-C, also doubt wireless charging is Qi)

Armind 07-20-2017 12:22 PM

Most likely gonna get it. Still using an IP6 and my damn mic hasn't been working on speaker phone.

DavidNguyen 07-20-2017 09:55 PM

Yea. Nowadays flagship needs to be water proof.
I got s8+ and take it to the lake into the water. Shoot some sweet vids.

Iceman_2K 07-21-2017 10:05 AM

Any issues after you dunk it or dive in the water with it? My iPhone 6s fell out of my pocket into a pool of slush while I was shovelling the driveway in the backyard, which is when i moved to the 7.
