Wonder what engine is in the civic.

From what I read online, his class is under 2L so people are guessing B20 block with a vtec head.
JRZ remote res shocks, electric power steering, and coil pack ignition instead of distributor.

Pretty cool to see the E30 and Alfa Romeo keep up with the newer cars.

I don't know much about racing, but isn't that track really tight and hard to pass on?

The Clipsal 500 is a street circuit in Adelaide, so super tight and the main places to pass are off of straights. Bathurst is a tight one as well, and Jordan Cox showed no fear attempting to overtake. His dad also competes in a DB8.

Here's the full race for the overtake at Clipsal 500. It should be noted that the AE86 he was chasing down had a 3S-GTE in it, and while Cox was right there in the tighter parts of the circuit, he fell behind when they hit the straights. IP2 is essentially a class where everything competes with everything, the main rules being displacement classes and allowing engine swaps from the same manufacturer of the body.

Both these videos are making rounds on social media recently. Both a great watch. The Civic apparently has a B20 vtec motor and the AE86 is boosted.
