| Flights to Toronto
Looking for flights to Toronto for the middle of July for a wedding. Right now almost everything is like $900..
Are there usually seat sales closer to the date? I'm not paying $900 even for a buddies wedding to fly to To that's ducking insane...
What do people usually pay and any ways to get a cheaper flight? Don't really want a layover or to go to Seattle etc.

Are you planning on checking any luggage? If not Use skiplagged. They find those cheap hidden city fares that you drop the last leg. Airlines hate people who exploit this loophole. But doing it once in a while is ok.
Did a quick search, one-way YVR-YYZ was sub $200CAD july 12 (random date), non-stop.

Have any frequent flyer points? YVR to YYZ is usually pretty good value for using aeroplan points.

Ended up using some avion points and paid $1203 for 2 flights flying into Hamilton and out of Toronto direct each way. Buddies booked the same trip minus points for $670
Fucking stupid paying these prices when 3 airlines flying there 12-15 flights a day :/

It's called a monopoly haha.
I've also paid anywhere from $700-900 based on timing. It's almost why I never 'explore' Eastern Canada very much.

If fucking VIA Rail didn't put an age limitation on those train passes, I would've jumped on that deal to explore the East. Flights within Canada are just ridiculously priced considering where else you can go with that money.

I've been delaying a trip out there to see family because of the astronomical prices. I was looking at the end of January with ten days of flexibility on each end but still the cheapest I found was $950 round trip.

^ LOL I can't believe they don't let you fly for cheaper seeing as how you have an airport named after you right in DOWNTOWN Toronto

That's the thing that gets me every time I see some sort of ad about "exploring Canada"
Have the people that made these ads even seen the prices of flights or Via Rail from the west coast to the east coast? Usual prices to fly out to Montreal/Toronto are generally in the $700-$1000 price range. For the same price, I could fly down to LA and then hop onto a plane to New York for roughly the same cost. I could also use that same budget and fly to Europe or Asia.
