Since then, they've switched to a new supplier for about a year now, East Penn, who also supplies the batteries for many dealerships, like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc. They also have AGM batteries. You rarely see people warranty the current batteries

Would've suggested Canadian Tire until recently. Before you bought their extended warranty they replaced them no questions.

But now not only do they not offer an extended warranty, if your battery goes weak or dead during warranty, they'll not only want to test it but charge you for the test as well, regardless of the results if it's still under warranty they'll pro-rate you existing warranty and give you the cheapest battery.

Can confirm, I buy all my batteries there now. I had one fail after many years of service and another that was bad right off the bat (I don't fault the manufacturer, it happens), both times they took them back no questions asked. And they give you $10 back for your old battery.

yay so i bought costco batterys 100$ + tax and +10$ core charge (i get it back if i bring in an old battery). Switched it out, kind of a hassle to with only a monkey wrench but its done. However, my ground wire is loose. i tightened the lug all the way and it can just slide off. is there a wedge of some sort? does canadian tire sell it? and do u think its safe to tape it down while i go to can tire?
