2018 VOLKSWAGEN ARTEON

VW shows premium Arteon coupe in Geneva - WHEELS.ca

Quote:
Standout features include a hood that extends a long way forward and over both fenders and a radiator grille that encompasses the vehicle’s full width.

The standard LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights combine with the chrome-plated crossbars of the radiator grille and hood. The powerful shoulder section at the rear, the muscular fenders, the waistline, and the flared wheel-arches are also reminiscent of a sports car.

The Arteon takes its place in the Volkswagen model range above the Passat.

The Arteon reinterprets the Gran Turismo concept with its combination of avant-garde design, sportiness, great flexibility and generous space.

On the technical front, the new Volkswagen impresses with six highly efficient engines with power outputs that range from 148 to 276 hp, front-wheel and 4Motion all-wheel drive, plus digitalized displays and controls. Further features include the Active Info Display, a head-up display and the new Discover Pro infotainment system with a 9.2-inch glass screen and gesture control.

I always hated the CC but this looks way better. There's also going to be a 3 row suv coming out called Atlas. Both these models are getting the cool VR cockpit from Audi.

i'm somewhat disappointed in the styling of the atlas. it's bordering on the bland side, but then again most 3 rows are like that too:

egh. i was thinking how can a 2.0T gas can pull something this big and heavy?

but when i googled....

Quote:
2018 Volkswagen Atlas Review - AutoGuide.com News

Engines: 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder, 3.6L V6

Output: 235 hp (2.0T), 276 hp (V6)

Transmission: 8-speed automatic

Fuel Economy: Not Available

US Price: Will start at around $30,000

CAN Price: Starts at $35,690
the v6 can only be had with the 4motion setup. i couldn't find any torque specs, but the v6 it's not significantly better than the 2.0T
