In case anyone is wondering, I asked the fine ladies at Honda and the Civic type R will start at 42k. Puts it up there with the AWD contenders but I'm sure the CTR is faster in stock form.
Highlights for me at the show: LaFerrari, Ferrari 250 GT (14 million US for this collector), Porsche Singer, Ford GT, Aventador Miura Edition, Lexus LC500, and that turquoise McLaren 570S.
Really enjoyed the show this year. Anyone test drive the EVs? Think I scared the guy looking after the i3 today, was pretty surprised/impressed by it and can only imagine how the Teslas feel in comparison.
Was also surprsied by room in MX 5 RF and this is coming from someone 6 feet tall.

the wifey bet me $50 that I couldn't comfortably fit into the MX5 RF...suffice it to say...I'm $50 richer...even though its technically my own money.

I can't believe the RF is over $40,000 and $45,000 for the GT... if you tack on the Grand Sport package it's $50,000!!! For 155hp???? I really like it (although the brown leather on red colour combo at the show was atrocious) but that's a ridiculous price... nobody is going to buy it. Miata in general is priced crazy nowadays.

I think as the Mazda commercial suggests, their marketing team is getting the target audience all mix up... they want the fathers who now have their kids all grown up to buy a miata. I know those dads, they buy 911s now, lol...
Unfortunately, it seems they are interested to sell to the young generation, FRS/BRZ crowd for that matter.
