Maybe you can let us know where in Richmond, and around what time? It would also benefit other people to be more aware in that area

Manic! 04-08-2017 06:18 PM

Maybe it was the Claw?

Will keep a lookout in Nanaimo.

I saw some weird shit today, didn't note the plate, but by Queensborough Landing someone in the same colour GTR was inexplicably (ie: didn't know the size of their car) trying to squeeze by a camper van and crushed the passenger side turn signal and fender into the back bumper, backed up, then just ripped off without stopping... makes me wonder if it was this car.

Do you have a time?????

68style 04-08-2017 07:41 PM

About 2:30-3pm.

When I get home I'll check my dash cam it would have caught it.

BIC_BAWS 04-08-2017 07:48 PM

Be advised: Suspect is caucasian, was seen yelling at gas attendants and peeling out of the esso on garden city and westminster at 12am last night. (not that this matters since 68style saw it at QB Landing)

To clarify, passenger side turn signal is left side right? Clarification due to rhd car and when I update my posts, I want to be as accurate as possible.

It was at the Goodyear on Bridgeport, stolen roughly 6pm yesterday from the premises

68style 04-08-2017 08:13 PM

Yah it would have been our driver side but it's passenger side for this car.

I have to verify the plate, I'm not at home until like midnight... could have been different car

keep in mind too, high chance they swapped a different plate. any sane person wouldn't treat their car like that, let alone a gtr.

Just out of curiosity, where do you get these updates from?

I hope the car is recovered soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the car was left at the shop unlocked. Has happened to me before, car left out and unlocked overnight.

TouringTeg 04-08-2017 08:47 PM

^ holy crap. Will keep an eye out in Victoria

I'm in a group chat with accl and other car friends. We mass-posted to various groups, and we're posting to our chat when we get updates. Then I post to everything I've posted on, including RS.

That being said, the validity of the updates are largely dependent on the community

AstulzerRZD 04-08-2017 09:11 PM

So to recap,

We think we know that..
- Suspect is caucasian
- Car was spotted at Esso Garden City x Westminister last night.
- Car may have been spotted at QB Landing today at 2:30-3
- Similar car might was spotted on the island - unclear if it was a BNR32 Nismo
- Driver's side (LHD)/Passenger's side (RHD) front end turn signal and fender damage.

SpeedStars 04-08-2017 09:58 PM

I've seen this car so many times for the past few years as I work right next door. That r32 has been there since forever and I truly hope they can get it back...Fucking thieves these days.

68style 04-08-2017 10:40 PM

So this is my dashcam video, sorry it wasn't right in front of me so kind of off to the side and can't make out the plate due to the rain... but it looks like the same car to me? Not sure what the idiot van was doing trying to go straight through from the right lane... but yah... hits it, shatters the corner lens and then drives off.

68style 04-08-2017 10:43 PM

Of note, there's nothing back from where the car came from except residential... my suspicion would be that the thief lives there

any possibility your passenger can recall any part of that plate?
