Anyone tried Liqui Moly MOS2 anti-friction engine treatment?

I have, several times, on both my cars. It's one of those things where on paper, it's probably seems like a good idea. UoA's show high #'s of boron/moly which is supposed to help protect your engine. It seems to be highly recommended on Bitog forums when I did my research.

However, other than turning your oil dark, I don't notice any difference. A motor that is healthy and well maintained will continue to be, regardless if you add this or not. But at $12 a can, it's not exactly expensive, so I figure why not. Some may say it's a waste of money, but so is driving on a hi-tuned ECU map on your daily driver that you use to go to work every day. We do it because we're car enthusiasts.

I've also used Ceratec, which is supposed to be better (modern formula) and longer lasting (~50k kms). But again, no noticeable differences other than costing 2-3x more than MoS2.

Yes, I think that I will go to try MOS2 anti-friction. I am using LM engine oil and valve cleaner now. I feel the engine runs more quite and smooth. Hopefully, after adding MOS2 and can run more smoothest. I used DuLa Lube and STP engine treatments before, but totally don't feel any change.

I've been running Ceratec for 32K km. And MOS2 since 18K km ago. I guess I'll be a good long term guinea pig on this as my BMW S54 engine has sensitive rod bearing wear that I send my oil to Blackstone for analysis. I'll be sending another oil sample in the next two weeks to understand what is happening and compare it with others who don't use it.

I use it for my FRS during track season. It's one of those things you won't really notice a difference in performance and drivability. If you do then your engine already has issues lol

Remind me to never buy a used car from you. "DuLa Lube" is actually harmful to your engine.
