| Local or Online Aftermarket Parts Retailers?
I'm looking to pickup some parts for my R35 GTR but have no idea what shops are out there. Anybody have any recommendations on where to find reputable sources locally or online? With the exchange rate being close to 1.4, there's no point in even going across to pickup parts anymore, so looking for more Canadian retailers. I know there's AJ Racing around that mods GTRs but I haven't heard great things about them..but that was awhile ago? Anyone know more about their T1R Line? Much appreciated

Or just get it online, cuz most of the retailers will get a slight discount on the parts and then basically just order them in for you anyways at a slight profit. Pretty much the same as what you would do yourself, I think the savings are negligible.

Are there specific parts you are looking for? There are quite a few shops that cater to the R35 crowd in the U.S. so it's best to find out what you want, find a price in the U.S. and then compare that to what a local shop can get it to you for.
Evasive Motorsports, AMS, ETS are a few that come to mind but it would depend on what you are looking for specifically.

If the parts aren't expensive, like under $300 USD. You might be able to slip through the border without paying taxes. Which is decent savings vs buying from a shop who will make you pay taxes for sure, or include it in the mark up pricing.
I guess it all depends, time is money, maybe the drive isn't worth it for you. But I know some Canadian vendors just price things in USD now, lol...

^ the benefit for buying local is that you can inspect the part in person at pick up... and if there are any defect/problems, you can have the shop take care of it...
If you pick it up over the border... if something do go wrong.. IE you get sent the wrong part... or there is a problem with it... you are pretty much SOL... even if the online vendor will take it back and make it right... you are still out half a day by going thru the border and back...
I dunno... when I priced out my lowering springs... it was a $60.00 difference buying from local VS pick up @ point Robers, with the added trouble of gas and time... I just chose to deal with a local vendor... way less hassle imo...
I say if your savings are like 200CAD+... then yea, I would start considering going down to the states myself
