Gardening Service/Design

I've moved to my current residence for 5+ years now and haven't put much work/though into my lawn/garden besides getting it trimmed.

Spring is coming around, and weeds is coming out of the flower bed, I have patches of lawn that don't grow very well, and just the whole front yard is unpleasing to look at.

The current person who I paid to cut grasses doesn't really do anything besides cutting grass.

Is there any company that any of you have used that you could recommend, for fixing my lawns problem, and also decorating it?

I don't know if this falls under landscaping or not, but I found Bur-Han through google, and reviews for it seems to be pretty good.

Thanks!

Bur-Han Garden & Lawn Care | Vancouver Landscaping Services

just had lawn and drainage redone on my newer home. They took the time to come out multiple times and plan and finish the job properly.

Landscaping prices vary a tonne and the quality isn't much different from place to place.

I used Skookum landscaping it's essentially a guy and 1-3 employees so very little overhead. They redid all my beds, redid the entire lawn pulled up my old lawn etc. and the price was great. Bobby is the owners name. However I think they only work in Vancouver

These guys did an amazing job on a yard in my neighbourhood. No idea how competitive their pricing is but I'm intrigued to find out.

Would you mind telling me the name of the company that you used?

Thanks

Fixing your lawn problem vs decorating it is quite different...

If you simply want to get rid of the weed and dead patches...buy some herbicide and and weed spray
For the dead grass patches, get a bag of grass seed and a bag of topsoil and youtube reseeding lawn.
Probably takes 1-2 hours to do it yourself...or hire a gardener.

For decorating and designing it, you probably need to hire landscaping company tho.
The latter will probably cost you a lot of money. (i.e. few thousands $+, vs $50 for herbicide and grass seed)
