I usually just sound racist on RS to piss people off so I'm not saying Asians in this context at all, but yeah tourists in general have ruined steveston sometimes. No parking, the summer is unbearably busy. Any holidays is like being packed in a sardine can (joke intended). That being said its beautiful and miss living there. What a great place to have a baby/toddler. But it's just so fucking busyyyy and every store now has tourist trinket crap in it and $40 bottles of maple syrup lol

Yea the wifey and I went last year during the weekend for fish and chips. The boardwalk is packed with people who are rude as fuck just standing in the middle of narrow passages or on the planks that go down completely oblivious of people trying to get by etc. every place has a lineup or a wait and it took like 45 minutes to get fish and chips and a beer :/
