He's a leafs fan... what do you expect?

68style 03-12-2018 12:42 AM

LOL sad... I have no problem with the Leafs, I like watching Matthews and Marner, digging a 3 year old post up cuz he's got a boner for Kadri? lol

Yah I was wrong about him turning into a point producer, sure didn't look like it back then and I doubt I'm the only one that thought that way... but like I said he's still a piece of shit I flipped on the Pens game Saturday and 5 minutes of watching what did I see? Him sticking Crosby in the ribs off a faceoff and then skating down the ice and snow-showering Jarry when he covered the puck. He's a fuckin joke, he could score 50 goals and no one in the league would give him even 10 seconds of respect.

punkwax 03-12-2018 08:32 AM

Kadri, Burrows, Marchand etc. are all the types of players opposing fans hate but would love to have on their team. No sense in going back and forth about it about who is better/worse. They’re all playing their roles well and these emotional responses prove it.

Know how I know neither you nor cdizzle actually play hockey?
Because you don't appreciate the kind of players Kadri, Burrows, Marchand, et all are. They're agitators first and foremost. They're the kind of players who take your Crosbys and Gretzkys minds off the game. Hockey has had players like this for the last 100 years, from Kenny Linseman, to Eddy Shack, to Claude Lemieux, to Sean Avery. These were guys who found their own way to make their mark, and help their team to success.

I may dislike Kadri as a player, but I have to respect that he's made a name for himself by being a chippy guy. He's earned his spot on as a second line center, and he's doing his part for the Leafs. I'd love to have a guy like him who can piss off the competition, while putting pucks in the net.

That’s a big bag of assumptions, incorrect ones, I don’t respect him cuz he doesn’t need to be that type of player to be effective... the guys you listed did because they weren’t talented enough otherwise.. maybe Lemieux was but just barely... and Avery never won a Cup btw... Marchand doesn’t need to either... in fact you could argue both teams would be better off if they stopped their antics, they don’t get calls cuz the refs are biased against them and get a bad rep around the league.

He could be that much better if he stopped doing shitty chippy stuff and let the goons on the 4th line take care of that, but the problem is he likes being s dickhead, much like Marchand does.

Sam Gag me................. dipshit. There goes any momentum.

Anyway, since Emperor isn't around, I guess I'll pick up the slack..........

The Canucks so good. :troll:

68style 03-12-2018 07:06 PM

Dr.Drew singing the national anthem? Only in LA

MG1 03-12-2018 07:09 PM

He did alright - baritone, by the sounds of it.

68style 03-12-2018 08:29 PM

^ what part of Sam are you gagging on ? :troll:

MG1 03-12-2018 08:51 PM

Looks like Quick is going to get a shutout.

Fuck, every Toyota commercial is as bad as the Canucks. Fan Approved? LOLOLOL.

dbaz 03-12-2018 08:58 PM

I think the timbits kids have better defensive awareness than mdz, pouliot, and hutton

MG1 03-12-2018 09:21 PM

There are no words to describe what we just saw.

Someone said, "When you're dead last, there's only one way to go, and that's up."

No.............. you can continue to be in last place, gulolol.

originalhypa 03-12-2018 09:28 PM

MG1 had me in :lawl: tonight.
68style, you bring up some good points. I'll reply tomorrow as I'm pretty tired. My mens team won 7-2 tonight, and I earned my 2.0 gaa. I actually had a shutout for the first 40 mins..... until a bad line change screwed that up. It's kind of like playing with the canucks :awesom:

Oh well.
Now it's time for Netflix and chill.

Ch28 03-12-2018 09:43 PM

152 minutes and 9 seconds since the last Canucks goal. Tank is on point!

68style 03-12-2018 11:08 PM

I didn't realize it's been 50+ games since Henrik Sedin scored a goal... yikes

Also they mentioned in the opener that last time we played the Kings, we got 6 goals... 2 from Boeser, 2 from Eriksson, 1 from Vanek and 1 from Baertschi.......... all of whom are not currently playing for us. This last month is going to be painful as fuh.

He has 2g 41a over 70gp and -18

He was never a scorer, but it's depressing seeing him score 2 goals in 70 games.

MG1 03-13-2018 02:49 AM

Can't tell between the two of them, but one (or both) of them take the dumbest penalties with minutes left to go in the game. And, these were games where we could have won or tied. Then that stupid, dazed look on their faces.

#TeamTank ???

68style 03-13-2018 07:39 AM

They were never fast... but now they're super slow and always getting caught reaching with the stick out in those desperate situations when they're trying so hard to create something and sometimes you just try to "will" it into happening... and take a penalty. Body isn't going where the mind wants it to be.

I think the Sedins still have their uses, but expecting them to produce a goal late in a game is probably over-reaching for them at this point. Experience can only go so far where tenacity would be a better attribute.

Daniel is definitely having a way better season than Henrik is... Henrik is awful defensively/with giveaways this season and Daniel has actually closed the gap on him in points despite missing quite a bit more time.

MG1 03-13-2018 01:02 PM

They should not be on the ice in the last five minutes of the game. Save them from embarrassing themselves. Put out the young players. Young players don’t need to see older players struggle like that.

Anyway........................
