I just wish they played some other teams in their final games to get a proper send off, like when Iginla and the Flames came back out for Linden. Would've been happy with Chicago, SJ, or Ottawa.... Instead the Sedins get Arizona and Edmonton
In the earlier debates I couldn’t decide if it’s good for them to play next year or not, but now they said they’re not and I’m a sobbing man-baby... so my heart says it’s too soon.
Hah, believe it or not, I am getting lowballed on face value price for my tickets for Thursday's game.
I'm sad I'm not in town for this. The Sedins have been a fundamental part of the team for as long as I've been in Canada following hockey. It's an end of an era.
Anyone hear the presser, did you get the feeling that the management 'pushed' them like telling them that they won't re-sign them even for a year? Hard to guess by reading between the lines but I sensed a bit of that.

I got a vibe from management, especially from Benning when he was answering questions about the twins, that they were encouraging the Sedins to think about retirement. Benning said that he spoke to the twins at the trade deadline about their thoughts on their future. Then JB mentions to the reporters that he asked the Sedins again after the deadline about their career plans.
