So how many people are gonna drive to Edmonton to catch the twins last last game? Didn't hear anyone talk about this on the radio.

I know everyone is talking about the Sedin's, but it was the first game I watched Adam Gaudette play. This kid is going to be good. There were a lot of solid and skilled plays he made, had strong positioning, protected the puck well. I was definitely impressed. He could turn into a very good 3rd line center or 2nd line winger.

i was watching him as well, he's a little bit behind the play, as you could expect coming from NCAA to NHL, but def has potential

Agreed, I didn't expect him to come in and produce right away like Brock did and I sure hope nobody else did but so far in the small sample size he hasn't looked out of place and that's an amazing sign already in my books.

Good article on the future of the Canucks. Whether or not Gaudette and Dahlen make an impact, it is at least reason to get excited about what the future potentially holds! It is also up to the Canucks to foster and grow these skilled players.

Was listening to News 1130 and Bill Good was commenting on the Sedins. That guy is more in-tune with me than I'd like to admit. Smart man, articulate, and down to earth.
Anyway, he said, "I don't believe in athletes being role models, but the twins and Trevor Linden have been exemplary athletes." He went further on to explain why. So true. Most athletes are either out of touch, just plain assholes, full of themselves, do shit only to make themselves look good, etc. The Sedins gave to the community and exemplified good sportsmanship, integrity, you name it. Even under fire, they kept calm and took the higher road.
It was time to move on. Fans were yelling, "One more year, one more year........." Really? They're leaving at the right time. And what a perfect way to bow out.
I'm pretty sure they will contribute to the club in other ways. I hope they don't move back to the land of Ikea. Like Linden, Vancouver is home to them................ I hope.

He grew up watching them and rooted for them in 2011. To get drafted by the Canucks, play on the same line as the twins, and be part of their final game(s)... this kid just lived his dream
The Sedins could absolutely play another year, IMO, but this has turned out to be a great time to go out as far as their legacy is concerned. Couldn’t write a better ending.
Look at guys like Jagr, Brodeur, Iginla, etc. ... all-time greats forced out in anticlimactic fashion because they didn’t want to hang them up when the game had passed them by. Even Linden played at least a year too long, but at least he got a send off.
Contrast that with the Sedins, Sundin, Lidstrom, Gretzky, Niedermeyer, etc. Going out while still capable of playing the game at a high level or top level and celebrated instead of fading into the background.
