Canucks Top Prospects Game is going to be live-streamed on July 6 starting at 6pm... all of the draft picks from this draft are projected to play! 5 on 5 first, 4 on 4 second and 3 on 3 third periods.
Should be fun to watch!

knowing how much talent there will be in the 2018 draft canucks will find away not to tank and make the playoffs but then get swept in first round in usual canuck fashion lol

McDavid going to get 13.25mil it seems.
Would you offer 9mil for draisaitl? Compensation is 2firsts a 2nd and a 3rd.
Having him as our 1c moves everyone down and lets us trade Sutter for more d. Probably makes us a team that is 10- 15 in draft order

Oilers already said they would match any offers for Leon Draisaitl. Also what goes around comes around they can throw offer sheets to our future RFA's. It's a double edge sword.

The Georgetown, Ont. native played 11 seasons as a defenceman in the AHL and IHL with five different teams: St. John’s, Houston, Springfield, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Syracuse.

If McDavid signs at 13.25, a predatory offer sheet at 9.8 million would force Oilers to pay 23 million for 2 players, or lose Draisaitl for picks. https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comm...y_offer_sheet/

with our luck in the lottery, i would seriously consider an offersheet for Draisaitl
it'll piss off traditionalists yadda yadda and there's a threat of Edmonton getting back but fuck it, sometimes you gotta bull through life and not look back
that and I'd love to see the Coilers in salary cap hell

I really like Draisaitl, but he's not worth anywhere close to $10M/year ... And giving up two 1st round picks, a 2nd, and a 3rd is insanity for a team in our situation.
