pretty good deal for Bo, glad it wasn't a bridge deal

dunno about Boeser but if Pettersson can put on some weight and muscle, he'd be a good shot at Calder

them dangles though...that horrific Euro defending though haha

dbaz 09-08-2017 09:11 AM

This is who I think will challenge for the calder. keller, and mcavoy are probably who I think have the best shot, and are probably being said to be favs as of now.I have them followed by boeser. Theres also ho-sang, Chabot and barzal(if barzal makes the team).
I think Patrick, Jost and Hischier will have mediocre rookie seasons, and a player like strome wont make their team

highfive 09-08-2017 09:34 AM

So many people on twitter thinks Bo was overpaid. lol

My response was, do you know how much eriksson is getting?

6o4__boi 09-08-2017 09:49 AM

Bo will earn every penny of his contract, even if he may not put up the points

dbaz 09-08-2017 10:05 AM

his best comparable was wennberg. hes getting 600k more because he will become the face of the team, the captain, can play solid d as well, and put up similar points to wennberg ,a player on a great offensive team

people complaining either hate the canucks, or are people who don't know shit

Nabatron 09-08-2017 10:10 AM

With Nolan Patrick I doubt he even plays a full season this year...guy is injury prone from the start but things could change.

I am totally fine with bo's contract since he will be the face of the team and pretty much will play in every key situation possible.

pastarocket 09-08-2017 10:34 AM

A fair contract for Bo. Benning showed him the money today.

Bo being the scoring two way centre deserves that kind of money. Fucking Jeff Patterson, guys from Canucks army....whole bunch of those 1040 people salty about it.

dbaz 09-08-2017 11:44 AM

of course 1040 is salty about it. they were running that bo was signing a bridge deal for about 2 weeks and were complaining about that. some of them even suggested a contract around this current one would be better. they are just shitting on the team because they lost the rights.
on top of that think of all the extra work botchford has now with blocking people on twitter because he was wrong, and cant handle the fact hes an idiot

highfive 09-08-2017 12:29 PM

Same goes with Jeff Patterson...lol he reported how Goldobin changed numbers from 82 to 77 and he asked a vet about it and he said it's ballsy?

1040 full of idiots now.

My money is on the latter.

Nabatron 09-08-2017 03:56 PM

once 650 got the rights and went live 1040 just a bunch of salty fuck tards on there now....I love it haha. Finally have another option to listen to Sat and the boys over at 650 compared listening to those clowns on 1040 aka bro jake.

Bro jake is by far the worst on 1040 I cannot stand his bs and has 0 sports knowledge its beyond laughable...

Kilinim 09-08-2017 04:33 PM

Scottie Upshall signed to PTO

Eriksson is an overpaid Swedish meatball! His 6 year, 36 million dollar contract gave our team 11 goals, 13 assists last season. :lawl:

Jmac 09-09-2017 07:33 AM

You should always compare to the mean or the median, not a good or bad contract.

I'm glad Bo is signed, not good for any party historically when a player misses training camp because of a contract dispute.

I believe he will have a bounce back year. He did the same thing when he got traded from Dallas to Boston and it took him a bit to earn that contract. Also a lot of players have issues playing from the Eastern Conference to the West. Hopefully now that he knows the teams he will playing against, a coach that will let him play, he can learn to adjust. The same goes for Gudbranson.

So many blocks I'd imagine.

Botch blocked me because I said the Provies could use a proofread after he released a Provies filled with dozens of spelling errors, grammatical errors, incorrect player references, etc. Guy has the thinnest fucking skin.

Benning: 'We're rebuilding the organization; That's what we're doing' - Video - TSN

good interview. but I think they should have gave benning the questions prior, hes pretty bad with interviews that require him to think. he really shows hes looking for an answer or a word :lol

he has some good points about prospects, depth, and adds ganger might play with the sedins

murd0c 09-11-2017 07:27 AM

This is good... Really really good. I'm happy the Sedin's wrote one.

If we are going to win a Stanley Cup, if we are going to achieve our dream, we’d only want it to be in Vancouver. If we did it anywhere else, I don’t think it would feel the same.

Sigh....

As much as you might dislike their comment. You've gotta respect their loyalty and dedication.

I don't dislike that comment.

Mad respect for the Sedins. The twins are showing the team, and the rest of the league, how to properly transition leadership responsibility and ultimately, the captaincy to Horvat and the rest of the young guys.

Fuck those players in the league like Marchand and Shawn Thornton for the way they disrespected and insulted the Sedins with their actions and mean words. Ratface and Shitface don't even have 10 percent of the class and character like Henrik and Daniel. :fuckthatshit:

When the Sedins retire one day, the NHL will lose two of the most underrated star players in the league.

highfive 09-11-2017 09:08 AM

Gonna miss them when they retire. I still remember Couture congratulating Henrik on the 1000 points before a faceoff.
