The cost is like 660 grand for a team flight on that Crystal Sky plane from YVR to Shanghai. :lawl:

Only the best for our team given that our Canucks have the most travelling during the regular season.

Those LA Peasants can just take a regular charter flight. LUL

originalhypa 09-22-2017 10:35 AM

And here I thought taking a "million air" flight to Vegas for $52k was expensive.
That's only $17,000 per hour in the air. Split among 12 guys. I doubt that Virtanen put in on this flight.

lol flew the more expensive flight than the other team to a pointless preseason game for an audience who don't give a shit about them.

still lost like shit.

Canucks so good.

Thanks to George Parros (of all people) for the new slashing mandate.

Kilinim 09-22-2017 04:07 PM

Game today not on TV?

I agree with the new mandate but like all the rules, the refs are taking it too far.

Look at Methot's hand. Imagine that was McDavid? You lose one of your brightest stars because of a slash?

Well, the thing is, Parros said he wouldn't have given Crosby supplemental discipline for that.

-good to see the team enjoy the sightseeing near Beijing. The Great Wall is amazing.

Beijing is definitely more of a hockey city
it helps the KHL is in town...

Mike Oxbig 09-23-2017 07:35 AM

China can produce better hockey players than soccer players :joy:

Anyone know where to find that clip they played of Guddy and Markstrom shopping together?

pastarocket 09-23-2017 10:18 AM

I think the clip is on Reddit. Let me check.

Here's the link from Reddit. Guddy tells one of the sale staff at a store that he and Markstrom are filming a documentary on negotiation at a fabric market. He needs to work on his lowball skills. 40 RMB for two tailor made suits? $8 CAD?? :lawl:

6o4__boi 09-25-2017 08:20 AM

Reid Boucher on waivers

Kinda hope he clears, he's got some offensive upside that can be useful when injuries hit

highfive 09-25-2017 08:24 AM

Guy is out of shape isn't he? But I still play virtanen or boeser over him.

6o4__boi 09-25-2017 08:28 AM

he doesn't look like a hockey player, let's put it that way lol
i think i remember saying he reminded me a bit of Wellwood

but he does have some slick hands and some offensive upside given the right linemates

definitely not starting over JV or Boeser but still a good callup option over Chaput or Megna when we eventually get decimated by injuries

highfive 09-25-2017 10:17 AM

I actually don't mind Chaput as the 4th line centre. He was pretty good last season.

Megna...I say send him to the Olympics with willie d.

spoon.ek9 09-25-2017 06:31 PM

you know, despite the garbage we've had to deal with the last few years, I'm actually looking forward to the upcoming season. hope to see some good things from the young guys and continued development of Borvat.

I was looking forward to this team... until I saw what happened during the China games

rusty? sure.. but that 99% of the "full squad" playing that Shanghai game and it doesn't look good

the Beijing game, was better.. but the kings didn't dress full either

bobbinka 09-25-2017 10:00 PM

if you have 0 expectations, you won't be disappointed
